I hesitated to write this earlier, but I am a true to hear reviewer both in reading reviews and leaving reviews. I have always loved Popeye's overall, but the day I was there during the week at lunch time, was the most messed up experience I have had in a very long time. There was a drive through line around the building and out into the street, which should have told me not to go there that day, but I did because of the great product they sell. So i parked and went inside and there were several patrons standing waiting, so i asked them if i was cutting in front of them, and they said NO that they are STILL waiting on their food orders. Their frustrations were mounting and people were losing their patience. i went ahead and ordered with some patience in mind, and then looked up on the monitors hanging from the ceiling behind the sales counter and that is where the orders are viewed with timers showing how long the order was taken. I then saw some of them at 18-25 minutes and realized that I was in for a overnight event....[not really], but a decent wait of over 15 minutes to get my order of food that they did have in stock, but that was after telling them that i would go ahead and be flexible with the choice of legs and breasts. i felt like a counselor that day as i believe i kept people somewhat calmer by talking to them and visiting. Oh well, things happen sometimes in the fast food business, but they should be trained to keep a dialogue going by informing all patrons that are waiting for their food as to what is currently going on both in the time clock and the product cooking. I think they should have given most of the patrons that I saw and visited with a coupon for a free meal on a future visit to soften the blow of disappointment. The food gets a 5 star review, but the service that day is a 1 star, so I hope the management sees the underlying recommendations in my review. Good...
Read moreThe new GM that took over has absolutely no idea what’s going on. Her daughter took my order at the speaker and then told me to pull forward which I did. When I got to the window a man that spoke no English just stared at me as I tried to hand him my phone for Apple Pay. I kept asking for Apple Pay and he didn’t know what was going on so he went to get the GM. The GM also just stares at me as I try and hand her my card . I asked , apply pay? And she said yeah so I continued holding my phone out and she just said “can I help you??” In a nasty attitude that she always has. I said I already ordered and she said “well I don’t have it repeat it” so I did. They told me to pull forward and wait cause it’s gonna take 4 mins. This is at 8:36pm. I pull forward and I notice it’s now 8:45 and 4 or 5 other cars have been served. I continue to wait and nothing . I reverse to the window and am not approached for a solid 2 minutes. The daughter opens the window and just stares at me. Doesn’t say anything other than “yeah?” I said I’m still waiting on my food. Everyone looks around clueless and in confusion. At this point, the chicken I asked to be made fresh, had now been done for 12 mins. I asked them to remake it again since they took so long and they did not. They threw me 2 extra tenders but they didn’t give me my biscuit. I continue to wait at the window because she closed it in my face immediately . About 45 seconds passes and she finally opens the window. Mind you they’re all standing in the window talking and laughing they’re not off doing things. She comes back and is like “yes?” Again, with attitude. And I said I’m still waiting for my biscuit. The daughter picks up a biscuit she dropped on the floor and while laughing asked the gm if she should give me that one. I truly wish I could give your establishment more stars, as I have a genuine love for your chicken wings. Unfortunately, my visits have been touch and go due to a few recurring issues. There have been instances where the chicken was not cooked thoroughly, which is concerning given my appreciation for the dish. Moreover, the drinks have had an excess of carbonation, resulting in a taste that is somewhat lacking and flavorless. Drinks getting messed up in the order, orders even missing items bought. While the service is generally acceptable, I have encountered instances of disrespect and perceived laziness from some staff members, which affects the overall dining experience. Furthermore, the restaurant itself seems to lack the luster it deserves. The exterior, especially with the paper on the outside menu at one point, gave the impression of being tacky and made the establishment look dingy. Despite these challenges, my love for your wings keeps me coming back, with the hope that these issues can be addressed and the dining experience can be consistently enjoyable.
