Good food!
I am updating my review on this location. I started to called back and just try and give them a chance to correct my order, but I have already done that several times in the pass at this establishment. and this time, day, I was tired hunger and just got off of work, and needed something to eat, and decided to give this establishment another try, but this was too much this day...I had too many issues with this food, this time, and I stay too far from this establishment, to try and go back and return the food.
I really love Popeyes Chicken, but this establishment has given Popeyes a different reputation. For over the pass years or so, maybe due to the Convid-19 virus, 2020-2021, The quality and taste of the food here has gone down. Especially when comes the seasons, cooking, taste, and customer service. You can order one thing and they give you some else. They will charge for items that you did order or that was not put into your bag, including missing items or items added. The chicken that I order on this day, of my visit, tastes like fish or maybe just bad old grease. "I do not think they even have fish on the menu" I have worked in several fast food establishments in my younger years, as a cook. I know bad oil and when it needs to be replace. this is not the first time that I have experience this here.
All I can say is at least the food has been in hot oil...and sometimes it makes the chicken taste like old food. as for the side dishes, you may as well not order any, because the serving is not a serving, it is a taste of what the food could be, if they gave you any. The soft drinks, taste like they have been water down, maybe they are trying to stretch the drinks out to last longer or server more customers.
Do not take this review as Popeye chicken is not good. Take this review as this is what the Covid-19 and now the new one "transformer" Omicron is during to the businesses. It is hard for business to get supplies to keep their business going. People are working with what they have on hand to try and keep the establishment open and pay their employees, and help people make a living. The supply chain needs more workers. Get the shots and get back to work. So American can get back to some what normal, and prices can stop going up for nothing.
Update review: 7 Dec 2023
Well again....I went to this same establishment. I figure it has been a while since I have gone here.
This time I went thru the drive-thru: The customer service was ok. I order two chicken combos with french fries, red beans and rice, and strawberry lemon, both combos. The Popeyes compares to the other Popeyes here in Indiana, is different when it comes to the quality and quantiy of the food that you order. The chicken needed to be cooked longer, the amount of fries in both combos compare to the other Popeyes here in Indiana is different, you can count the number of fries that they put in the order on both hands. The red beans and rice - imagine using an small ice-cream scooper of red beans, topped off with an ice-cream scooper of rice. The strawberry lemonade was water down, not sweet at all, it tastes old, barely any lemon residue...seeds in the lemonade was brown...old and not fresh, even if the lemonade was freshly made.
I realize that Covid, about a year ago did a number on business, but I think that about now, some, most or maybe all should have rebounce back to somewhat normal routine by now.
and then again maybe this is normal for this establishment.
Just bad or lower grade food compare to the other Popeyes...
Read moreTyrell the manager @ the Popeyes location on 10087? East Washington St is a perfect example of a exemplary manager that every restaurant should have in there business. I placed a order online and there was a mistake..I called& spoke with Tyrell the manager, and told him the mistake he immediately said to ask for him when I return. I went back up there 2 days later ask for Tyrell, and he was very professional, great attitude,, very accommodating in correcting the mistake and also threw in a pie& drink. This is what you call real genuine customer service, and Tyrell performed that today to show that he do care about his customer's and their experience at his location and not just there to waste people time or money. I hope his boss and corporate see this positive, great review on his performance, professionalism, and friendly attitude. I would like to let everyone know this is the perfect example of a outstanding role model as a manager in fast food restaurants. Everyone needs to be like Mr. Tyrell , managers and employees. I left his establishment with a smile on my face and was very pleased with the hospitality he shown me as a customer. I hope your boss and company acknowledge the little things that can make a big impact on a restaurant. Thank you...
