Let me spill the beans on this local taco spot in Lawrenceville that I stumbled upon while cruising around. So, I was searching for some bomb tacos and this joint popped up with a solid 4.5-star review. I couldn't resist, so I ordered their birria tacos, chicken street tacos, and steak tacos for pickup.
When I pulled up to the place, a super friendly girl greeted me at the front. The spot was tucked away in an unexpected area, but don't judge a book by its cover, my friends! The atmosphere inside was hella welcoming, giving off those chill vibes that make you feel right at home.
Now, let's talk about the food. Hold up, let me just say, I ended up ordering more because I got into a convo with that girl at the front. Turns out, this place is a family-owned and family-run business, and that just speaks volumes to me.
Okay, back to the tacos. Brace yourselves, people, because these birria tacos were on a whole other level. I'm talking mind-blowing, taste-bud-tingling goodness that I've never experienced before. You could tell they put serious love and effort into crafting that amazing dip and those flavorful tacos. It was like a fiesta in my mouth, and I was here for it!
Honestly, I can't recommend this place enough. They earned every bit of my support, and you can bet your burrito I'll be giving them more of my business. The food spoke for itself, and it was clear that they pour their heart and soul into every dish they serve.
So, if you're in the mood for some next-level birria tacos and an experience that screams "authentic and full of flavor," do yourself a favor and hit up this family-owned gem. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Go show 'em some love and let your taste buds go on a flavor adventure they won't...
Read moreA "hidden gem." This is a restaurant that's less about the glam and more about the flavor. The staff is very polite and helpful, and the tortas and tacos are exceptional! It when won this year's Yelp award - and that's no accident.
Located in a very unassuming strip mall attached to a gas station, it's very easy to miss this place (especially when it's nestled in between said gas station and another, Asian-themed restaurant. Once inside, it looks like another bodega or small Mexican market. But make no mistake, that's the restaurant.
You have a choice to dine in or take out. I would do take out but eat in the car immediately because the food is trying delicious. Dining in can get cramped as there are only 5 or so two-seater tables.
I HIGHLY recommend the asada torta and the Birria de Chivo taco plate. They have "just" a Birria plate, but the taco plate comes with the broth and freshly heated tortillas that are a HUGE game changer.
Very good stuff, my family and I are excited to go back and try more...
Read moreA hidden gem as far as I'm concerned. And the absolute best pork I've ever eaten at a Taqueria. I told the girl I was getting over a cold and wanted something hearty to eat. You gotta go with a burrito she said and was really eager for me to try the pork and the beef, taking a lot of pride in their food. I really liked that, and she was very informative and accommodating. I told her I needed the hottest sauce she had to keep my sinuses open. She obliged. Everything was delicious and she made me feel welcome. Such a sweet person. And the atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. I have no complaints whatsoever about this little hole in the wall. I am going back and I am getting more of that succulent pork....
