I had to settle down before I wrote this review. Two days ago, my 2-year-old and I went to the pizza hut on Hill Field Road in Layton, UT. I had ordered the online special and was surprised when my boy said he wanted pizza for dinner. When we arrived, the monitor read 6:18 pm my name was not on the board yet. It was a Saturday and the lobby along with the drive through was busy. When I got to the counter to pay the “manager” said she needed to find my order. When she did she came back and said it was going into the oven and should be about 8 to 10 minutes. We sat down and began to play, it is always nice to spend time with the boy. I looked at the monitor again and it said my pizza would be ready at 6:26 pm, seemed very reasonable. During the wait several customers had received their pizza but, others were told that their order would not be able to be made due to the store running out of pan crust dough. I watched as the manager struggled to maintain order in the kitchen, customers in the drive through, and the lobby. Many people were very upset that they were not getting what they had ordered. She was failing miserably and probably should not be in management. I felt bad for the poor lady as I’m sure it was not her fault the store had a surge of orders an hour earlier. Around 6:45 pm I went up to the counter to find out what was going on with my order and to purchase a couple of drinks. She started by saying my order was in the oven until I interrupted her and said it had been in there since 6:15. She back peddled and ran into the back to “check on the status” I watched her do a lap around the kitchen not talking to anyone about my order then come back to the front and act like I had just got there. When I said I already paid she asked for my name again and looked my order up, again. She then said that my order fell into the we are out of stock excuse and went back to talk to the other “manager” who was making pizzas. She finally came back and said I would receive 2 mediums and a large for what I had on order and it would be ready in fifteen minutes. During the fifteen minutes 2 customer came in who’s names on the monitor said their pizza was ready but when the staff went to retrieve it the pizzas had mysteriously disappeared. Both customers received a refund and credit associated with their phone number. I went back up to the counter at 7:05 pm and she went back to the oven and said they were in there and it would just be a minute. I sat back down and watched as more customers became unsatisfied with the service. It was so bad I was not able to get back up to the counter until 7:40 pm. I finally went up and said to this manager “It does not take an hour and a half to make 2 pizzas”. Maybe I am the dumba$$ that should have asked for my money back and hour ago, but instead stayed and paled with the boy while we were being told our order was in the oven. After my comment she immediately said, “I am going to have to refuse service with that attitude”. My jaw hit the floor I begged her to just get my pizza, so I could go home. She began the process of refunding my money and I lost my $h!t. and well let’s just say the whole pizza hut team was watching the counter, the manager trying to run the register was almost in tears and the other manager was trying to get me my refund as fast as she could while threatening to call the police and have me banned from the store. Not a proud moment but who the heck would keep some one waiting for an hour and a half and then when questioned about nothing really refuses service, WTH. We ended up going to Little Caesars Pizza, terrible pizza but you get what you expect. That night was the last night I will ever place a “real order” with pizza hut. Thank you for reading to the end, hope you have a better experience. The attached photo was taken right before I left the store, Thanks again Dusty for sending me this picture as my phone had died by the time we left. I left a lot out due to the character limit reached, thanks Google for not letting me write a book.

I recently ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut, and once again, I was extremely disappointed. The pizza arrived with almost no cheese, making it taste more like breadsticks with sauce rather than an actual pizza. The pan crust was the only saving grace—it was delicious and perfectly cooked, but without the cheese, it just wasn't the experience I was expecting. This isn't the first time I've encountered this issue with Pizza Hut. It's the reason I avoid their rectangle pizzas, which have had the same problem in the past. It's frustrating that such a basic component of a pizza is consistently missing. To make matters worse, I tried reaching out to the store to address the issue. First, I attempted to contact their quality service line, which was disconnected. Then, I tried calling the store directly, but no one answered. The lack of customer service really added to my frustration. I’ve enjoyed Pizza Hut in the past, but this experience was definitely a letdown. I hope they improve their service and quality control because this isn’t what I expect when ordering from them.

UPDATE: I spoke to the manager and she was SO helpful! She explained that new management had just started and that things are in the process of getting better. She remade my order and it wasn’t burnt. Great customer service! I decided to order my kids pizza because I wasn’t feeling well…. I spent a little over 50 bucks on 2 pizzas and an order of breadsticks. Everything was so overcooked that my kids couldn’t even bite into them. Both pizzas and an order of breadsticks went straight into the trash! Pizza isn’t cheap and this was ridiculous!!!! Do better, Pizza Hut! Fifty dollars should buy my kids a dinner they can eat!

I have NEVER given a Pizza Hut a 5 star review before. But I gotta say the employees there were exceptional. May be due to that fact that it's so close to base (you can see South Gate from the parking lot).

We ordered a few 2-topping specials, and to get more variety for the price, we put some toppings on one half, and another on the other side (you get more options for the same amount that way as each side counts as 1/2 of a topping selection -- Cool huh?). Usually, you have some toppings over lap, and you get a few on each slice. Not this time. You can tell great care was utilized in the creation process. They carefully put a decent (but not too generous) amount of toppings on exactly half of the pie. It lasted through baking too. Then, they cut it correctly. Other pizza shops (not just Pizza Hut) cut the pizza without thinking that this is supposed to be half of what is essentially a double order. I didn't even mind that one half was slightly (and I do mean slightly) undersized because they cut it so perfectly. I would totally order that again.

And the lady that rang me up didn't even care that I asked her about her hair, which is dyed the prettiest red and black combo. I used to have hair similar, and I gushed about it a little. She was even polite when her card machine was being fritzy (management, fix the green light for them -- they deserve it!).

Usually, I don't order Pizza Hut because it's rare that they get my order right the first time. But I'd go back to this location no problem. Easy to pull into the parking lot with entrances from both sides with multiple entrances per side. And the staff was extra friendly. Next time, I wanna try the pickup window. I hate getting out of my car in the cold. Thanks again girl! Still...

Grrr. I get it people make mistakes but this is the 3rd time we ordered we ordered from this location and beyond horrible. We ordered cheeses garlic knots bone in wings and pizza. The did for got the wings completely so I had to call them. They were going to resend them, grr but fine. We then started to serve the food we had and the cheese garlic knots had no cheese. My husband had to drive to the store to see what was going on. He waited over 5 minutes before anyone even addressed the fact he was there. When my husband brought up the issue the man who addressed himself as the night manager "Art" said that is how they come the picture only shows cheeses for advertising prepossess and if he had a problem he could take it up with someone else. Again my husband asked for his name and he got rude pointed to his hat and said its Art, his hat did say Art, but he refused to give anymore information. The wings did finally come but were wrong. We ordered bone in wings and we got some kind of chicken nuggets and yet again no sauces we ordered. Worde possible service on the planet, even the delivery guy was rude. I have fractured wrist which is in a brace, was trying to get the pizza sign the paper deal with my child and a puppy and got an attitude because I was preoccupied at the time of delivery and stormed off before I even had a chance to get...
