Southgate Tavern — Restaurant in Layton

Went for a paint and sip and ended up having a pretty bad time so that was a huge waste. The environment felt very unwelcoming if you're not what seems to be a regular customer. The customer service at the bar was deplorable to say the least. Waited by where the sign said to and it felt like the bar tender went out of their way to ignore us amd even when they did the interaction was trash. Don't expect to be blown away but boy did they blow me away with disappointment. The paint and sip wasn't horrible but the instructions could have been better for people who aren't fans of arts and crafts. Honestly would not recommend to anyone, when you're spending good money you don't expect to be treated that...

Tonight was my first experience at Southgate Tavern. With taverns, vibes are everything. The moment I walked in, I knew I was going to love it. Patrons were singing (Monday is karaoke night) and smiling. The service was amazing. I immediately was so welcomed by everyone that I felt like family. Snow is such a fun and professional Karaoke Master. There was nothing she didn't have for songs. Staci serves amazing drinks and is super personable. Drinks are made quickly but well, so you don't have to wait. If you want the feel of a local Cheers type bar with a great vibe, I highly recommend Southgate!! Get out and play!!! Tell...

Great bar! I happened to stop by and meet the most amazing person she was classy but not judgmental. She was firm but not overbearing. She was beautiful but not unapproachable. She had the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen 😍. She was all business and wouldn't give me the time of day!! She was unfortunately taken, some guy out there is super lucky!!!
