From the staff to the atmosphere and of course the food, this place is a hidden gem.
From the outside, it all looks unassuming but upon entering the doors... you are transported into a gorgeous japanese style restaurant. The inside is spotless, the decor is gorgeous and the staff is very friendly as well as attentive.
The quality of food is spectacular. Our first visit we tried the ramen to which I recieved a solid bowl of tonkotsu. Rich base with perfectly cooked noodles and a well assembled plethora of toppings. Mushrooms, Pork and corn make a beautiful arrangement that fills your stomach and warms the soul.
But today we started off with an appetizer of takoyaki which was crispy on the outside, served hot with that wonderfully creamy inside that (admittedly) burned my mouth due to my lack of self control but tasted excellent despite the minor pain. The flakes on top did not hold the overwhelming fishy flavor we had come to dislike on other takoyaki we had previous to this place which was a welcome surprise and the sauce only added to the wonderful experience!
But the true star is the sushi. I had a regular roll as well as one of their hand crafted ones. The hand crafted wagyu one was esquitisite. It is a bit pricey going at 7 dollars a piece but it is well worth it as the wagyu is top quality and perfectly torched. Served with a garnish of caviar and gold flake that fills your mouth with smoky flavor alongside a buttery slice of the most tender beef you will have in your life. But alongside that, I got the super caterpillar roll which was the perfect balance of salty, crunchy, spicey and sweet that I was so desperately craving. A decent size, the toppings didn't fall off in one go and the mouthfeel excellent.
The tiramisu we had at the end was wonderful, as always they knocked the quality out of the park. Every layer was not too sweet while filling our tastebuds with airy espresso cream. We have been here twice and will return again and again for years to come. The owners are wonderful people, making us feel welcome with...
Read moreI’ve came here for years. I love the owners wide, she was always kind to us. The sushi is delicious, but last night 6/6/23 this new waitress served and was absolutely rude the entire time. She ask what we wanted to drink then she left. We waited a bit and she walked up to our table and didn’t say a word and had pen to paper just waiting for us to order . Not a single smile once. We thought she was having a bad day so we complimented her bracelet & she just gave a quick thank you and walk away with out taking our menus. We received our food & she didn’t check in on us once. A couple came into the restaurant and sat behind us, she was COMPLETELY different with them, she was smiling and giggling and even offered to take their menus. So now I knew it was just us she was being rude to. As she walked away from them I asked her if we could have refills on our water because it was just ice in the cup (since she never checked in) she stopped and looked annoyed and grab our cups. We sat there for awhile after we ate and had to walk up to the desk to ask for our check. I love this place, I always recommend to friends and family.. but when the service is bad, you don’t want people who treat you badly to also handle your food. You never know. I hope they find better employees & I hope this restaurant will be better than it is now. I will no longer be...
Read moreI got this place after work one day after seeing it open and wasn't expecting a lot. There are so many sushi places that open and close all the time but I was hungry and I love trying new things!
The food is incredible. You can tell it is family-owned owned which makes it even better. Portions and pricing are amazing for the area and it has become my go-to for vegetable tempura and sushi when I need some quick and delicious. I also tried their croquette Tezukuri. (The vegetable potato one) its delicious as is everything I order here!
I cannot recommend this place enough and while I always order out on my way home one day I would love to sit because the atmosphere is lovely! Everything is always warm and correct when i pick it up and i have had 0 issues with my food ever!
They gave me free miso soup yesterday (i dont like miso but they recognized my name and ask for a review which i had been meaning to give anyway). So sweet, so helpful, and such amazing service! So much bang for your buck too.
I get the vegetable tempura for $7.50, in it i get 2 asparagus, 2 sweet potato, 2 carrot, 2 broccoli, and 2 squash and tempura sauce. Their Philadelphia rolls had good quality salmon with a good amount of salmon, cream cheese, and avocado!
Eat here if you want delicious, inexpensive food from a small...
