Donald Donuts — Restaurant in League City

I am simply appalled at the horrid customer service and down right cruelty of the staff at this establishment. Earlier today i waited in the car while my friend went inside to buy our kolaches, while she was inside a little girl was by herself trying to buy a chocolate donut. my friend paid for this little girls donut because the lady working the counter kept trying to tell this young child who was alone that 1 donut would be 6 dollars. my friend looked at the sign which said they were 3.19 and she didn’t want the girl to get scammed it was just one and she wanted to be nice, so after she finished our transaction she bought the girl her donut, the lady worker tried to insist to my friend she couldn’t pay with card because it was under 5 dollars (remember this) but then she back peddled while my friend was looking for cash and said she could do card (and did not say there would be an extra charge) after this she left, i thought that was the end of it but no! when i check my bank account i see two transactions, the first one of my food that looks right, the second transaction was the girls donut, i was charged 6 dollars for just one donut. that didn’t sound right at all to me so i went back into the donut shop because i was in the area. i go in i see the sign myself that says 3.19, i then ask the lady and she says 5 dollars. so then i ask why the sign says 3.19, why she said it was 5 dollars and why on earth i was charged 6 dollars for it? the lady had no response for me at all just kept repeating 6 dollars. i’m not sure why this donut shop thinks they are gods gift to donuts and can charge 6 dollars for a chocolate donut, but i promise this is not a business you want to support. after being overcharged because a worker wanted to scam a young child who just wanted a donut i can confidently say i have never had a worse experience at a donut place. it is despicable the way this lady was going to take all of this young girls cash and then charged me for it because she thought i wouldn’t notice her scam, after i revealed to her that it was my friend using my card that she scammed she became completely useless and would not speak any english to me besides saying 6 dollars over and over when before i revealed i had a problem with her she was talking to me just fine, a man came out from the back and he was just as useless, he didn’t even get any words out just watched this happen and was utterly incompetent. no effort was made to give me my money back, which i honestly didn’t even care about i wanted her to admit she was trying to scam a child, i would have just accepted an apology for their rudeness but clearly they have no interest in that.

So there you have it!!! this is hands down the WORST customer service DO NOT come here they support taking all of a child’s pocket change so they can make a quick extra buck. absolutely despicable. Their greed may be equivalent to that of...
