Pho Barr is hands down one of my favorite restaurants, and honestly, one of the best pho spots I’ve ever been to. From the first time I walked in, I knew it was going to be good, but I didn’t realize just how amazing the food would be. Every dish I’ve tried here has been full of flavor, fresh, and made with care. If you love pho, Vietnamese food, or just good food in general, you need to check this place out. Let me start with the star of the show: the filet pho. This is the BEST pho I’ve ever had. Period. The broth is so rich, flavorful, and comforting, it tastes like it’s been simmered for hours, with layers of spices that come together perfectly. It’s hearty but still light, and every spoonful feels like comfort in a bowl. The filet is tender, fresh, and cooked just right. It practically melts in your mouth. Add in the rice noodles and fresh herbs, and it’s just magic. I’ve had pho from plenty of places, and Pho Barr’s filet pho tops them all. I honestly crave it all the time. It’s that good. On top of that, their Thai tea is fantastic. Creamy, refreshing, and perfectly sweet, it’s the perfect drink to go with a hot bowl of pho. I love how balanced it is. It’s not too strong, not too sweet, just right. Every sip is so satisfying, and I always make sure to order one when I’m there. Now, let’s talk appetizers because they are just as amazing. Mama’s egg rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had. They’re crispy, golden, and filled with flavorful ingredients. You can tell they’re made with love and care. They’re not greasy or heavy like some egg rolls can be, they’re light, crunchy, and so delicious. Pair them with the dipping sauce, and it’s game over. You’ll definitely want to order more than one serving because they disappear fast. Their spring rolls are also fantastic. Fresh, light, and packed with flavor, they’re the perfect balance to the richness of the pho. The ingredients are always super fresh, the shrimp, herbs, and vermicelli noodles are wrapped tightly in that soft rice paper, making every bite refreshing and satisfying. Dip them in peanut sauce or fish sauce (or both!) and you’ll be in spring roll heaven. Honestly, the sauces at Pho Barr deserve their own shout-out. Which brings me to the sauces, all of them are so tasty. From the peanut sauce to the hoisin, fish sauce, and sriracha, everything complements the food perfectly. They’re not just afterthoughts; you can tell they put effort into making sure the sauces elevate the dishes. Every bite feels customizable, you can make it sweeter, spicier, tangier, whatever your preference, and it always tastes amazing. One of the things I also love about Pho Barr is the overall vibe. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and welcoming. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure you have everything you need. They know the menu inside and out and are happy to recommend dishes if you’re new. The service matches the food, consistent, warm, and just makes you feel at home. To sum it all up: Pho Barr is a true gem. The filet pho is the best bowl of pho I’ve ever had, the Thai tea is creamy and refreshing, Mama’s egg rolls are out of this world, the spring rolls are fresh and perfect, and every single sauce is delicious. It’s rare to find a place where literally everything on the table is this good, but Pho Barr nails it every time. If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful, and comforting Vietnamese food, this is the place. I can’t recommend it enough. Do yourself a favor and make Pho Barr your next meal, you’ll thank...

Read moreWe love Pho, and have tried it many places. We also like to sample the apps and others things as well. The pork spring rolls here were good. I personally like them with more cilantro but the shining star was the pork. Most places seem to glaze the pork then grill it (sometimes making it a bit tough). Here, the pork appears to be first cooked, then coated with a Korean-like bbq sauce. It showed up in the spring rolls and on the loaded French fries and was delicious. We also got the pork fried dumplings and were pleasantly surprised to find they were very ginger-forward, much to our liking. The previously mentioned loaded fried were done with shoestring potatoes and actually fried to a crisply texture! The topping were proportional and the runny egg was crowning jewel. Now to the pho... To start, the broth was wonderful, almost consommé clear and carried enough of the star annise flavor to make it sensational. Noodles were done right and the herbs, onions, and other 'fixins' were generous and flavorful, especially the cilantro. The beef TENDERLOIN was tender and delicious as expected but the two detractors were the brisket that was over cooked (fairly tough), and the tendon meatballs, we specifically asked be left off, floating in the bowl [it even stated on the receipt NO MEATBALLS] Other than these couple small missteps it was a wonderful meal and we will be back! Good...
