Waited 30+ min for 2 to be seated at hibachi, which was okay, because we were made aware beforehand. I Had 2 “specialty” rolls and some sushi pieces, girlfriend had filet hibachi and 2 cocktails. She loved everything. My First roll was donkeyKong, basically a spider roll with unagi and avocado. I eat this at other places all the time (same ingredients) and it’s one of my favorites. This one Was inedible. The “fried” soft shell crab was mushy snd gross. I hate sending food back, it sucks for everyone but Girlfriend also had an issue with her drink. Server hasn’t checked w/ us since food and drink landed. Waited a considerable amount..no sign of anyone coming. Had to walk around looking and tell front dest employees that we needed our server. Restaurant was not very busy. Different server came and said ours was in restroom, then she showed up. She Took the items back. The service is beginning to paint a picture, but I understand that things come up. Basically We were having fun conversation and just wanted the things taken and fixed. My other roll “spicy girl” another very simple roll. I’ve had at dozens of other sushi bars. Shrimp tempura, cucumber, spicy tuna, crunch, masago,, spicy mayo.. tasted so off and what I can only amount to not fresh. I dont like being “that guy” and GF is happy with her food so I’ll take the cost on it even though I couldn’t continue after one piece. Had a couple other single pieces which were just barely okay to sub par. Hibachi chef cleans grill, and we get the check. Girlfriend and I are having conversation, 2 minutes later server is interrupting our convo for me to hand her the bill which is still in my lap. I say “I’m sorry we haven’t even looked at it yet. Are you In a hurry?” As I reach for my card She looks frustrated and says no, and walks off. Apparently she wants us done now and has other places to be. when we need service no where to be found? I add my card to the bill.. we wait more than 10 minutes for her to come get the bill. AGAIN, I have to search the restaurant. She’s No where to be found, other employees are basically doing closing work, restaurant is way died down yet It’s only 8:30. The guy at host station offers to close me out. I Sign check, put it on the table. As we’re about to reach the front door she finally is “on her way to get the tab” and gives me a strange look. I say we payed, your copy is on the table. Long story short, sushi was terrible. Server took the order and made the drops, but after that was not on the restaurant floor. I probably wouldn’t have left a review if it weren’t for making us feel like an absolute chore for wanting a decent meal and service. Also, had I seen this review beforehand. It would’ve saved me a lot of...
Read moreWe have ate here a hand full of times now and honestly ditched Ichibon for this place. However last couple of times we’ve came the service has just been terrible. This most recent time was just to the point where I felt obligated to make a review. When we arrived there was a wait, and we had no issue with that. Our issues started once seated, I have never felt so rushed in my life at a restaurant. Second we sat down we were asked for drink order and I never even looked at the drink menu. I asked for a minute and when server came back I asked for a frozen margarita, he says they don’t have frozen. Menu stated otherwise but I said that it wasn’t an issue. Then upon ordering food server was a bit rude in my opinion trying to correct my mom when yet again it was an error on their menu. Finally when it came time for the hibachi portion it was beyond rushed. I brought my daughter who is 5 who requested it for the show that came with the dinner. The guy skipped all the normal things she would normally expect. Table next to us got the whole show with lights and jokes. We got rice chucked at us. I’m not foreign to the rice catching that cokes with this experience but holy moly this man was just throwing big chunks of rice with no warning whatsoever. We weren’t even looking up and rice is just flying. Entire thing was beyond rushed. We ordered filet for all three of us and when our order was read out we corrected them when he stated we ordered steak. He said okay, but both my mom and I are pretty confident it was steak and we were charged for filet. Then not to mention the fact the poor girl next to me nearly got served shrimp when she was allergic. And I guess even though she mentioned it before hand he was rushing so quickly he forgot. It may seem like small issues but just the overall attitude from everyone made the quality of service ridiculous. Not to mention our entire table left abruptly when the restaurant filled with unbearable smoke that had us all coughing. Which I have to say I’ve never experienced at a hibachi restaurant before. Heat was unbearable and we were all just in a coughing fit by the end. Ventilation was horrible. Not sure we will be going back soon, food is delicious but...
Read moreWe went here last night for dinner for my son's birthday. There were 6 of us, when I tell you we were packed in, I mean packed in. We all had to eat with our elbows tucked in, very uncomfortable. They were very busy, which is fine. However, why not make us wait and move tables around to accommodate everyone. Or, just tell us they can't fit that many people at a time. I mean none of us are fat, however, we are all tall. We sucked it up, we were there to enjoy ourselves. Then, 6 of us had to share 2 menus. They said they ran out of menus. Odd, looking around, not one single table had a menu. That was extremely frustrating! Our server, was non existent. Not all of us had napkins, water refills, not like they should. Server brought all the soup and salads way after we ordered, as soon as she sat down the bowls on the table, our food was roght behind her. Not because we got our food fast, it was because she didnt bring them when she should've. She never not once asked us how we were or how our food was. Napkins, we had 4, there were 6 of us. We never were asked or had a chance to get more. When ordering, she was rushing us, not friendly at all. The gentleman walking around helping tables who brought our food, was actually very friendly. I was very disappointed in the entire dinner. The chicken was over cooked, very bland. The soup was amazing and the sushi was too. However, the whole experience for my son's birthday dinner, wasn't pleasant by the service. From the start, I knew she would be bad when she didn't even say hi or introduce herself. Just what do you want to drink. Umm hello to you too. Never offered us more menus, she didn't even pay attention to see we only had 2, or if she did know, she just didn't pay attention to get us more when they came available, like when she took them from others after placing orders. It was just not a fantastic night for a regular night out, most definitely not a...
