HB Mexican Kitchen in League City is a hidden gem that delivers not just delicious food but an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff, making us feel like family. The ambiance at night is romantic, with a relaxed atmosphere that seemed to attract mostly adults during our visit, adding to the intimate charm. The meal started with their incredible fire-roasted salsa and crispy chips both so flavorful that we could have easily made a meal out of just those. Our server, along with Eli, was engaging, attentive, and made us feel like royalty with their exceptional service. For our main course, my husband and I both ordered the barbacoa spicy green enchiladas, and they did not disappoint. Served in corn tortillas, the enchiladas were packed with rich, bold flavors, and the spice level was just right. The charro beans were equally impressive, adding a smoky, savory touch that complemented the meal perfectly. Another bonus is their participation in the BAHFL program, along with a punch card for visits, which makes coming back even more rewarding. Conveniently located right off the freeway, HB Mexican Kitchen is a must visit for anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine with top-tier service. We’ll definitely be returning!

The booths are so close to the tables you can even move or you’re touching or moving the whole table and I’m not a big person weighing 115lbs, that is not Mexican food! I got carne guisda very bland no seasoning whatsoever I got the papas with it they add papas from what’s left over from breakfast the potatoes should be bigger not breakfast potatoes that were just added l, beans were ok but arroz was very dry. The tortillas were fake! The $ we spent I should had Tex Mex jimmy changas or papasitos with real homemade tortillas with good chips and salsa. The green sauce was so limey tasting. My hubby had fajitas rancheros no seasoning meat was so tough he couldn’t cut through it. The prices are not worth the food! Save $ go next door Jimmy changas!! I could eat no more I bought it home to let it be thrown away!

We went after a doctor appointment around 1:50pm. Aside from one other couple it was just the waiters there. So, service was quick. I had to ask the waitress to give us time to review the menu as we had not been there before. We'll, at least this restaurant because it had previously been an Asian place and then Barcenas. We ordered nachos and two drinks. The chips were good. The (very) green salsa was okay and the other salsa wasn't spicy. The nachos tasted good, almost like Barcenas in Texas City. Well, I was surprised to find that the receipt had Barcenas' name so I asked the waitress who said that the food was the same just the name was different and they still had to change it on the tape. Oh yeah? Hmmm...interesting.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic Mexican restaurant, and I can't stop raving about my experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they served, which made the experience even more enjoyable Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to Mexico. The tacos were a particular highlight, perfectly seasoned and served with fresh toppings. The enchiladas were rich and savory, with a delightful sauce that left me craving more. And don’t even get me started on the guacamole; it was creamy and full of flavor, a must-try for any avocado lover To accompany the meal, I indulged in their margaritas, and they were simply outstanding. Whether you prefer classic lime or something a bit more adventurous, the margaritas were expertly crafted, refreshing, and not too sweet. They truly complemented the meal and elevated the entire dining experience Overall, the combination of delicious food, excellent service, and fantastic margaritas made for a memorable evening. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to enjoy authentic...

We came on a Friday. The place is so loud. It's just an open area with lots of tables and booths and so the noise has no where to go. Ordered a diet coke and it tasted weird. Turns out it was Pepsi and they never told us that's all they serve so they could get that soda $. We ordered shrimp nachos and they came with no guacamole or sour cream and VERY little vegetables. It was the saddest nachos and yet it was $$. We asked for sour cream and got attitude from the waiter. The shrimp were cooked nice but no flavor. We ordered a combo dinner. The cheese enchiladas were bland. The rice and beans were bland. We received a chicken tostada and it looked like tuna. Bland and dry and we're thinking it may have been canned chicken. The fajita taco was just ok. With the lack of flavor and seasoning and the poor service we won't be back. Jimmy changas is literally right next door so we'll just go there. We love trying new places and rarely are we this...
