Updating my review: 2 years ago I wrote a review that said: "You have to get the pizza rolls and the Buffalo chicken pizza!"

Today, January 7, 2019, I was very disappointed with both the buffalo chicken pizza and the service. The pizza was dry and unappetizing. Really, it was like a piece of cardboard and I called the store to complain (I rarely complain to a restaurant about their food). The shift manager, Karen, got on the phone and was quite rude. I mentioned the buffalo chicken pizza had no sauce and explained that my pizza was dry and unappealing. She told me she personality made my pizza and knew for a fact that my pizza had sauce on it. She said they "were in the process of changing management and that maybe whomever made the pizza before did it wrong and perhaps I didn't like the pizza being made correctly". I understand that she may have taken the complaint personally, but instead of discussing our disappointment she blamed us for not liking the way she made it, and offered no replacement or compensation (we didn't request any either). This DD's is under new management, it seems. Today, they hosted a Free Buffet to showcase their new and improved pizzas and service, and I was completely blown away. It was very busy due to the free buffet this morning, but the buffet was never barren -- the pizza kept flying out of the kitchen at mach speeds to keep the buffet well stocked. It was also fresh and hot and absolutely delicious. I was also impressed with the staff today; this one girl bussing tables was so sweet and chipper, and ready to help. Everyone else I saw had a big smile on and was super responsive to the needs of the customers. It was busy and crowded, and honestly, it was probably the best pizza buffet I've ever been to. Maybe we're just lucky to live in a great area, but the customers were also kind and accommodating to each other. I saw a family of 3 let a solo pizza enthusiast sit with them. So we placed an order at 8, and we live 5 minutes away from this location. We did not receive our food until 9:20 and once we finally did all of it was cold. So after waiting forever and having the food delivered cold we were pretty upset so we called the store. The manager assured us that she would have all of our order redilivered sense it was all cold and comp the meal. We never heard a thing back, never got a new delivery, and never got refunded. So glad we spent $60 for food that came cold and never was resolved. I tried to call many times however no one would answer. Eventually it got to the point where they waited out the phone calls until they closed. I drove up there at 10:08 to see if I could talk to them however there were no workers there. I understand they close at 10, but it takes longer than 8 minutes to close...
