I can't say enough good things about The Sweet Cupfe in Leander! I ordered a little bit of everything—from their gluten-free blueberry scone and lemon poppyseed scone to an assortment of cupcakes, and every single bite was amazing.
The scones were fresh and flavorful—my 10-year-old devoured the gluten-free one and had no idea it was gluten-free until I told him! The cupcakes? Absolutely to die for. Every flavor we tried—Maple Bacon French Toast, Banana Pudding, White Wedding, Sweet Confetti, Cookies and Cream, Strawberry Shortcake, Raspberry Lemonade, and Chocolate Chocolate Chip—was moist, rich, and beautifully made. And the Chantilly frosting… wow. So smooth and luscious, I could honestly eat a whole bowl of it by itself!
The moment I walked in, the owner greeted us so warmly and made us feel instantly at home. You can tell she pours her heart into what she does—not just in the pastries, but in how she shows up for her customers and the community. It’s a modern, welcoming, family-oriented space that really reflects the care and pride behind it.
I especially love that this is a culturally rooted small business run by someone deeply involved in the local community. You don’t just walk into a bakery—you walk into a place full of passion, creativity, and connection.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for fresh, delicious treats and a genuinely...
Read moreOnly visited once and reviewed the about section of the website before the visit since most cupcake places we've visited for the last few years have been disappointing. Nothing Bundt cakes is good, but icing too sweet. The last good place we remember was in Austin (Hey, Cupcake), but they have no locations here so we've tried a few places since moving to the area 10 years or so ago, and been let down by flavor or just overly sweet cake and/or icing. Neither of us cares about appearance or wacky or wide variety of flavors, so long as it's not overwhelmingly sweet and has good flavor. Tried some cookies and cupcakes. Both were really good, better than what we've tried in a while. Stopped in on a Saturday, only two staff there, both helpful, and nice place to pop a squat to enjoy the treats if you so wish. I hope they can keep afloat. Not a fan of location (when turning into or leaving the place, be weary of incline/decline and uneven/crumbling pavement). We quickly dispensed with the treats so hoping to get...
Read moreToday was my third trip to Sweet Cufé and once again, 10/10. Sweet Cupfé had been on my list of places to visit for a while, but I finally made it out when they collaborated with Next Chapter Bookstore for their Sunday book club last month. Since then, I’ve been to their book bedazzling and just today a cake painting. I don’t know where to start. The events they put on for the community are fun, important, and wonderful. Lizz is an absolute GEM! I love that she cares so much about the people coming into her bakery and gets involved in all of our conversations. I always leave feeling so energized because of her. Now onto her creations. Each time I’ve visited, there’s been all new items. My favorites so far have been the pumpkin spice cupcake, the lemon poppyseed scone (I daydream about this daily), and the maple bacon cupcake — I literally did a double take after taking my first bite. We are SO lucky to have a baker and person like Lizz in our community. Five stars is too low for this...
