TLDR - Mr Gyros botched my catering order and still expected me to pay for the botched order.
Whole Story - I ordered Mr Gyros through ChowNow for a dinner I was hosting after a big event. I ordered online several days in advance, even called the restaurant to confirm they had received the order okay, and made arrangements for the food to get picked up since I’d be tied up during the event.
When we opened the food to eat, we realized Mr Gyros had sent us one platter instead of four platters of food. Enough to feed only four people instead of sixteen.
I called the restaurant and they confirmed they had filled the order incorrectly and could see the mistake they made. I asked if they could deliver the rest of the food, they said no. I was frustrated but there was nothing to be done so I said to go ahead and refund me and I would go get food elsewhere.
I ran to a fast food place get food for everyone which obviously wasn’t the experience we had planned, but what can you do? While I was waiting in line for hamburgers, Mr Gyros called me back. I thought maybe they had a change of heart and were sending my food. No, they called to inform me that after speaking with the manager, they could refund me for the three platters I hadn’t received, but I would still need to pay for the one they had sent. I was flabbergasted - a full refund would have been the bare minimum. After a mess up of this magnitude, they weren’t even going to try to make it right and were actually going to charge me for the tiny bit of food they sent.
I was frustrated and I decided to deal with it after the weekend was over so I didn’t take it out on the staff when it wasn’t their fault. I called back Monday and talked to the same person and they advised their manager did eventually agree to refund the full amount but never so much as a call from the manager to apologize and certainly nothing to try and make up for the embarrassment of having no food for 75% of my guests.
Overall, an awful experience. I was less mad about the mistake itself than I was about how they handled it.
Love to support local restaurants, but you have...
Read moreI have never been at this location by myself. I usually order through my job and we order there a lot and I love their food. However, today I went in there by myself for the first time and the lady at the front with the mask on her face and the green hair is very rude and I think she’s prejudice. I think they need to remove her from the counter because she will stop people from spending money and coming in there. She just don’t even know how much I spend at that location with my Job, so it’s crazy to come in on a weekend to eat some food I have to deal with her being rude. I spoke when I walked in there and she just looked at me. I spoke to her twice. She still just looked at me so I don’t know what her problem was she’s very rude. The only reason why I am giving , this two stars because when I looked at the back the guys that were cooking, the food were smiling and speaking that’s the only reason why I didn’t walk out if they get rid of her I think they’ll be fine but you don’t want a business like this with someone being as rude as she is working as the face of the company when you walk in. As I waited for my food, I seen other people walk in and she was speaking to them. All of them were white, so I already know what her problem was with me. I will...
Read moreEh. Pretty expensive now and portions dropped. Very plain. Can't keep workers for more than 3 weeks. Peppercinis taste like kalamto olives. $18+ for a gyro, drink, and small salad... while you're right next door to Joe's KC? It is no wonder why your store is a ghost town outside of 4 total hours the entire week.
Just go. Consumers and workers alike are tired of garbage merchants like you who do the absolute minimum. You're doing nobody any favors with your food price or your labor offerings.
You're at food truck status with building rent overheard. Lmfao. The food trucks got more flavor though and cost less.
I think yall are done, along with many others. Just give it up.
Seriously. That Home Grown next door isn't going to last one year and you guys haven't had a proper day since before Covid and the Smoothie King...how the hell do you businesses even stay open... oh... that's right, the slave wages inside a city your workers can't...
