Adelita's Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Lebanon

Adelita's is the proper definition of a hidden gem. I was completely unaware of it until my wife came home raving about it. She explained all of the unique flavors available and that I needed to check it out. Eventually, I made my way there and the magic began!

I mentioned unique flavors before but I'm not sure unique really drives home how unconventional these flavors are. Sure you have the old favorites (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry) then some classics (coffee, cookies and creme, mint chocolate) but then you have mango, pistachio, guava, gum and SO many more! All handmade! And while some may be turned off by the stranger flavors, they intrigued me. I never thought I would say I love corn ice cream but here we are.

As far as service goes, Adelita herself is an absolute delight. Service with a smile defines her best! I want to address one thing about the store that may be a deal breaker but hear me out. Adelita's does not offer samples of ice cream. Sure, you may want to know if you'll like rice ice cream before buying it, but when a few bad apples take advantage of the word "free," it ruins it for everyone else. So if you're one of the rude individuals I've seen at this store who thrown a childish tantrum because she won't give you free ice cream, you're probably the reason.

Walked in here very excited to try it since it was hidden and didn't know it existed but heard great things. they have a lot of variety of ice cream, there was 3 adults and 4 kids in my group. clearly ready to spend some serious money and of course be a continuous customer but the lady denied us samples and just tapped at the sign that said " no samples" what kind of ice cream shop doesn't offer samples? the average price of an ice cream scoop is about $0.33 cents so a little sample would cost less than a cent and you are trading that for a possible long time customer once he finds something they like! there you go a little business tip for ya. I didn't even mind that it was cash only. when I told her it was my first time there and if she could just let me try something again she said no, very rudely. She should have said "I'm sorry we don't provide sample" or something like that instead of just saying "NO!" and tapping at her...

I’m failing to understand how this place got such great reviews. To begin with- when you walk in, there’s an overwhelming bad odor. I’ve worked as a contractor in the Middle East for over 15 years, and I’ve been inside bathrooms in Iraq that smell better.

Next, the customer service is poor. I took my granddaughter there and she wanted to sample a couple of different flavors before deciding.

The lady behind the counter said there is apparently a “one sample limit”, and wouldn’t allow it. So regrettable that a seven year-old little girl could potentially bankrupt your business by sampling more than one type of ice cream.🙄
