El Rancho Nuevo Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Lebanon

Saw the reviews and thought I'd try this place out. Overall, not bad but not really anything special.

Got seated quick and server was awesome. Chips & salsa + a drink out quick and checked on me a few times while I was looking at the menu and across the meal.

Start off, chips were good, but salsa wasn't my favorite. Lots of cilantro and some heat was a plus, but the tomato almost tasted like a paste or canned sauce.

Ordered the chimichanga & stuffed jalapenos. Sat and waited for a few minutes before another waiter brought it out in to-go containers and we were both really confused. They took it back and plated it up for me though w/o me having to ask.

Jalapenos were really good and I'd definitely recommend them. Chimichanga w/ beef was smaller than I thought it'd be, but the queso on it was good and the meat was well seasoned. Nothing to standout w/ the salad, beans or rice, just about standard of what you'd get from any other place. Food did all come out warm too.

Most authentic Mexican food I've had that is flavorful and fresh. Many choices for various tastes. I've become a weekly customer (sometimes 2 lol). Love the fresh cocktails and mesmerized by the work that goes into them. My only reason for 4 stars on service is when getting take out they need to work on consistency in packaging. Few times I did not get and sauces (red and green) or Limes for my tacos. One of my favorite things is the green sauce its so good with the right amount of heat and just perfect match with tacos. El Rancho Nuevo Mexican Grill was our choice for dinner. It was our first visit but certainly won’t be our last. The service was top notch with no waiting required. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Our meals arrived piping hot and delicious. Our dinner choice was the Carne Asada dinner and it was as good or better than anything we have enjoyed in San Diego at the Old Town Restaurants. The portions were ample and delicious.
