Sweet Thing Bakery — Restaurant in Lebanon

Do not recommend, my husband and I went to Sweet Things Bakery on Valentine’s Day to get chocolate covered strawberries and while we were there we noticed that they sold the Dubai chocolate bars but they were sold out. We placed a pre order for the next week and when I went there in my lunch break they were closed I did not receive any kind of phone call after that to reschedule my pre order. I called a few times the day after with no response so I figured I would give it a couple of weeks. Well today I had called the bakery to ask if they had any in stock I was told they had a few so I told them that I was coming to pick one up and I wasn’t very far away. Well when I showed up 10 minutes later they were gone. I was offered once again to put in a preorder and I told the lady that I wasn’t interested in placing an order and told her what had happened. She offered absolutely nothing for the inconvenience and was rude when I told her I had literally just called to make sure they had some. I will definitely not be stopping by this bakery again. I don't want to be cruel and give someone just one star so I'll give them 2 because the woman was nice. As far as the cupcakes, they were really not good and I'm shocked that this place gets high reviews. I came in and got a 6 pack of cupcakes and to be honest, I can't remember which ones they were. I do remember that the only one I didn't get was the chocolate cake with mint buttercream. Let me just say that they taste like store bought cake mix and basic icing. My boyfriend normally eats cakes from anywhere but this was one of the few places that we ended up throwing away. They were dry and tasteless. Unfortunately, there aren't many cupcake spots in town but I would rather make the drive downtown for something tasty. Please don't waste your money or if you do end up going here, don't expect much. I'd even say Publix cakes are better. Also, here's a tip...... use Jimmy sprinkles in your confetti cupcake so it's not goopy within the cake. The redhead who works there who wore the purple sweater on Wednesday is none too bright. I walked in and bought one item. Since I was a cash customer, she made me wait for a lengthy time, as there was one complicated transaction in front of me. Meanwhile she allowed credit card customers to be processed immediately. I offered to her, if she let me know the price of what I was purchasing, I would leave her the cash and she can ring it up as a sale later. She refused.
