6/11/2024 Update: Good Service. Love the Sliced Brisket and the Turkey is Good, too. The Mac N Cheese is Always Delicious. The Baked Potato was Small. Overall, a Nice Place to Eat... 2/2/2023 Update: Great Service. Waitress was a younger lady who kept up with everything & food was good. 12/14/2022 Update: Service was much better, however, it should've been because hardly anyone was there. Our waitress was a younger girl, very helpful, kept everything full, & was nice. Food was decent. Restaurant is a hit & miss. 8/29/2022 Service was not very good because they seemed to be negative waitresses! They forgot my sides until the end, even after I told them about it when the waitress brought my food out. Then, she proceeds to give them to me at the register in containers and charges me for the baked beans that were actually included in my meal! Hectic, for No Reason! Unorganized! And, people who should be working are casually standing around doing Nothing! Decent food, but HORRIBLE SERVICE! Tried now several times and it it NOT getting better At all!!! Our waitress today (3-17-2022 @ 2:30 PM) was acting super busy, but messing everything up! She was also VERY LOUD about a man's card Not going through when it was a register issue. The man felt that he needed to explain it to my husband and I when it was none of anyone's business because he was embarrassed! Then, it was a problem with the register & the waitress was LOUD ABOUT IT! It took forever to get seated (over 10 minutes) when she wasn't doing Anything! Normally enjoy this restaurant! Will try it again, but Not with this waitress! She stated she'd be right up to check us out & disappeared in the back area for over 15 minutes, Again! She didn't even check us out! Traveling back from Indianapolis another honest review to be honest we had a lot of different options but chose to have barbecue of course it was a risk however six other passengers and myself decided and chose this restaurant we are African American family so we knew it was going to be a risk Due Too Seasoning.... I can honestly say that we should have went to Steak and Shake the ribs was horrible one half of the chicken was undercooked and the other half of the chicken was overcooked Wayyyyy too many onions in the potato salad after being told that there was no Onions... maybe you should try your product first before suggesting the green beans was Bland the fries was dried out as if they had been sitting there and the ribs were so tough and unseasoned if I had to rate the place I would give it a minus one this was by far the worst barbecue I have ever had I would not recommend it however you can try it at your own risk this is July the 16th just wasn't really happy at all the workers were okay not overly Pleasant but just so so highly do not recommend just go to Steak and Shake PS it was way overpriced one thin slice of brisket and the medium sized slice of brisket and fries 11.99...

Mixed reviews on this. Service was good. Quality of food was ok. Portion size, on the other hand, was a mixed bag. If you are ordering a Budget Buster meal, the portion size is good. If you order a lunch platter, not a good deal at all. My wife ordered a Budget Buster meal (pork) for lunch for $7.49. Because Burnt Ends wasn't on the Budget Buster menu, I ordered them from the lunch Platter menu for $14.99. (For comparison's sake, the Pork lunch platter is $10.59.) As you can see from the picture, the slaw and baked beans portions are identical, the meat portions are roughly the same size, the only difference is that the platter comes with 2 pieces of garlic bread instead of 1. That is a difference of $7.50 for an extra piece of garlic bread! ($3.10 if you compare pork with pork.) If the burnt ends had been awesome (they were so-so), or if the portion size would have been bigger, then maybe the price difference could be justified, but as it is I walked away with distinct sense of being let down. Moral of the story? Order from the Budget Buster menu! The Platter menu isn't worth it unless you like expensive...
