El Charro Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Lebanon

Went here the other day with my fiance ordered what I've ordered pretty much every time since I was a kid beef enchiladas with cheese sauce just a favorite go to they were awful. Beef had absolutely no flavor or seasoning not even salt and pepper just tasted like a tube of unseasoned ground beef no taste really the cheese topping was tasteless almost not like it used to be and they were like half the size they used to be. Service was ok they were short staffed so I get it as someone who's served I know it's hard that's not really something they can control prices seemed a bit high for what I got. Also my fiance got a 2 dollar margarita which the only reason we can't complain is well it's 2 dollars not really much you can complain about but I can say it smelled like the cheapest beer you could buy it smelled like they mixed a can of keystone with margarita mix my fiance couldn't finish it. All in all this place needs improvement on its cooking and portions more than 3/4s of my plate was beans and rice so the cheapest project I'm not paying for beans and rice to be bigger than the main course. Used to eat here all the time born and raised in Lebanon maybe it's the new owners wouldn't surprise me white people running a Hispanic restaurant doesn't sound like...

BE AWARE, when you order the dinners "TO GO" you do not get the same portions as sitting in the restaurant, but youll pay the same price. I have ordered 3 different times, got the dinner meals, one little salsa, paid full price for a small queso, it came in the same small to go container as the salsa did, not even close to what you get in the bowl at the table! Ordered three meals last week, one small bag of chips and 3 little salsas for 3 adults. When I mentioned that we should get the same about of salsa as whats on the table "because the girl tried to charge me 50 cents per little container" i got dirty looks. ive been coming here since they opened over 20 years ago, their really starting to take advantage of people. My family decided to eat here to change things up. First off the food was good, not great but good. The prices were reasonable. However, the service was very not great. We had to wave down the waitress to get a refill and order a dessert. She never once check on our table at all. She took the plate from me that had in front of me. She didn't ask if I wanted it gone. She also forgot to put in our to go dessert and we sat finished for a long time waiting on our check/dessert which is when we found out she never put in the order, which we waited on. The other major issue is the cleanliness. All of the fake plants were covered in dust, which worries me about how much might fall off into my food. The walls of our booth were splashed with food.
