We walked in at 9:20 or so. Checked out the menu and ordered exactly what my wife wanted, the Tenders and Wedges 6 piece meal plus large green beans and soft drink. I ordered it to eat inside. I was informed that the lobby closes at nine. We got napkins, plastic ware, a straw for wife's Coke and sat down to wait for the food. Minutes later it is brought out to us and we are told again that the lobby has been closed for 30 minutes or more. (I'm guessing that someone would probably be sweeping the floor and mopping the floor since, while not filthy, it would need to be cleaned.) We are directed to the door. As we are sent packing I say good evening to the lady as does my wife; we get a good evening from her. I notice that the times this store is open is until 10pm as posted on both doors. All but one employee car was out of the lot at 950. We sat in the lot for a good while enjoying out hot and fresh tenders and wedges. We had other plans involving grocery shopping yet to do. We ate in our laps without paper plates.
The chicken was hot and fresh The wedges were too hot to eat, they had been cooking as we ordered, but pretty and golden brown. I thought they were a bit overdone but that may have been because they were waiting in orders. The green beans we ate at home. They were delisious. So, next time if it's after 8 pm just to be safe we'll go to the Pell City store that I hope is still owned by the Jones' and I'll get chicken livers which I dearly love, (comfort food like my mom made) and my wife will get whatever she desires. At least there they would not ever dream of escorting a cash customer outside the door in a Bum's Rush just to get off early.

Read moreThe food is what you would expect from a chain restaraunt, but you might be getting a little something extra that you didn't order. After not receiving all of the items I ordered, I went back up to the store to get the order straightened out. There was a person ahead of me at the counter, so I waited and got to watch a rather disgusting display. A female employee ran her fingers through her hair, wiped her nose with her hand, and then used the same hand to pick up chicken for an order. I confronted the manager about it, who acted like my 8 year old daughter when she is confronted, and was informed that "we don't have to wear gloves or wash our hands, we use tongs". While I am certain that KFC policy does require employees to wash their hands often and thoroughly, the girl didn't use tongs. The manager didn't try to stop the order from going out, or in any way correct the employee. She dismissed the concern, and sent out the chicken with a side of snot.
Until this manager is fired, because it's her responsibility to supervise her subordinates, we will not be returning. The prospect of eating human excretion is not an...
