Let my review start off as I throughly enjoy Waffle House, maybe pricy, but it's a guilty late night pleasure. Upon my visit with Leeds, AL waffle house I will imply the atmosphere was warm with welcoming demeanor, as the employees are all friendly an did greet me or ask answer questions upon my request for something. This particular exsperience, I'd wish I'd driven to McDonald's or something...
Upon receiving my order my waitress great server gave me my order an upon finishing my hash browns, an moving on to my breakfast sandwich found a strand of hair in my bacon. Discreetly I informed the woman of the situation an the order was fixed no hassel, now upon second attempt...my order of hash browns was burnt an covered with burnt cheese than I cared for but my sammich was my goal and my investigation of the bacon sammich found a second long hair had been cooked in the bacon fat. I alerted my waitress slightly annoyed an hungry, but kept a pleasant composure. However the female manager thinking I purposely an diliverality done this hoisted the food an exclaimed it was 'fuzz' from the ceiling, implying I should get over it. Offended an honestly disgusted I was done, after seeing a floating strip picked up by ultra blonde thread of hair, honestly gagged an insulted. Let's say....I left the establishment. An new sheet will of wanting to avoid that place. So moral of the story....check your food, throughly an be mindful. This story it wasn't the waistress fault she did awesome doing her best to serve me, I blame the cooks an bad manager in this situation. Least I didn't have to pay after this back to back incident.
Disclaimer: This was my personal experience, but if you love waffle house don't let it discourage you from enjoying it. Just this review is more of a cautionary tale an allow you to be mindful of your food an make sure you check it.
PRICE: $$ & 1/2
PRO: Friendly staff for most part, curtious employees, clean facility for most part (minus the ceiling tiles '?'), waitress in this situation went above an beyond to assist me, even if I didn't have a pleasant experience. Food was least hot, even if I didn't get to eat it nor enjoy it.
CON: Horrible manager/cooks in this situation, gross hairs found in my bacon BLT, second attempt burnt hash browns an cheese almost black.
FINAL VERDICT: Reviews can change, so maybe after some LONG time away from Waffle House in Leeds location. Possibly my mind can change, but BLTs are off the menu along with bacon for me. So my review of 1 outta 5 stars stays, if I could do no stars it would not be zero...
Read moreNice area to stop off the interstate. It is very conveniently located. I really like Waffle House, and this was a treat for me after work and doctors appointments. This was what I was looking forward to all day. We were greeted when we walked in, there was just two tables occupied, not crowded at all. The place was clean as well. I ordered the cheese steak sandwich and hasbrowns, a lil crispy and double covered. The waitress came back with double onions. When I said I wanted them double covered....she just stood there...seemed a little perturbed at me. I asked if I could get them double covered. I may have said it wrong, and I'd be more than happy to pay double if needed. She said no, but the cook abruptly stood with a loud noise of the chair. They were giving each other "the look." I work in customer service, and I'm familiar with this look. I really didn't think I was being difficult and made sure to say I may have misordered, but the looks continued. I was given extra crispy hashbrowns that were extremely hard, and my cheesesteak didn't even fill the regular bread it was on. I thought maybe they had a bad day too, no biggie, but when the next customer came in, it must have been a regular, and there was a joyous greeting and smiles that lasted. I wish I wasn't looking forward to this as it was a letdown... the food and the service. Exception of the most pleasant gentleman that was at the register who was very nice and made the experience better on the way...
Read moreThe waiter was great as well as the cooks but the manager Lori spent 35 minutes flirting with a customer because he gave her a big tip while 3 tables hadn't been cleaned and she was standing by the whole time. Several families standing and waiting in line while she was trying to hook up with a guy that had been finished for 20 minutes. When she heard we complained she came over to our table and said sarcastically we had made remarks about her not doing her job.she came back a few minutes later with corporates phone number but then said she had been doing her job for 23 years and she knew what she was doing. It was obvious to us she didn't have a clue. She needs to stop trying to get laid on the company's dime. Very rude at best. The one star is for the manager not the rest...
