I like to start with positives, so I'll say that the tacos were absolutely fantastic!

I got one of each here: Pollo Asado, Carnitas, and Birria.

Pollo Asado: great flavor on the chicken. It was well seasoned and didn't get overpowered by the onion and cilantro, which can happen if a place doesn't season their chicken well enough. This did a great job of balancing the flavors. 9/10

Carnitas: The fat was rendered perfectly, there was some great crispy texture on the outside, and the meat itself was very tender and flavorful. This, to me, should be the "standard" for Carnitas, so there wasn't anything here that blew me away, but it was very high quality nonetheless. 8.5/10

Birria: This was absolutely fantastic. The meat was incredibly flavorful, and had excellent tenderness. The consume was incredible as well, which enhanced the experience. This was a 10/10 taco.

Now for the negative, and this was my ONLY negative with my experience:

SALT YOUR DANG CHIPS, Y'ALL! There wasn't a speck of seasoning on these chips, salt, pepper, nothing. They weren't stale, but because there was no flavor they felt like they were stale, if you know what I mean. Corn tortillas have almost not flavor by themselves, they NEED a punch of salt to make them palatable, and these chips just didn't have it.

To the management: If you have a spec for chip seasoning, then my chips didn't get any. Please quality check your chips more frequently to make sure you're sending them out with seasoning. The chips were $4, and that's too high a price for unseasoned and bland chips guys.

If you DID quality check the chips today, 2-25-25, then please increase the seasoning by at LEAST 50% and quality check again. I can almost guarantee you will also enjoy them more, lol.

Other than the chips, everything was a great experience and I will be trying again to see if the chip issue was a fluke, or if it's a consistent feature...

My husband and I decided to try out Mancha for dinner, as we heard of their recent opening. Our dinner started out well. We were given warm chips and fresh salsa, which were delicious. Our drink order was taken quickly. He ordered a margarita and I had a Paloma, which were strong and we enjoyed. After our drinks came and out order was taken, we had over 30 minutes of never seeing our waitress again. When our order was taken, we ordered an appetizer of Queso dip which never came. Our waitress offered to bring it to us but at that point our food was already out, so we declined. The food we felt like was okay for the most part. The tortillas felt store bought to us, which really made the rest of our meal feel lacking. I had two tacos with rice and beans. The waitress forgot my rice and beans. My husband ordered extra tortillas, which we again had to ask for because they weren’t brought out. The waitress apologized and brought these things out quickly. After eating, we had to wait a long time before we ever spotted our waitress again. The bill came out and we found that the prices on our bill and what was advertised in the menu were not the same, so we brought this to their attention and they fixed it. They said some of the items were input wrong in the system and they would take care of it. Overall, maybe it was an off night for our waitress so I forgive her. We just felt like we’ve been to better places in the area and...

Mancha Cocina: A Flavor Fiesta! Mancha Cocina absolutely blew us away! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a vibrant, lively atmosphere. The restaurant was packed (it was a Friday night), but the ambiance was energetic without feeling overwhelming. What immediately struck us was how clean everything was – it literally smelled clean, and the aesthetic was bright and inviting, especially the lighting at the tables which made it easy to appreciate the beautiful presentation of the food. Let's talk about the food! The table salsas were hands-down the best we've ever had. Each one was bursting with fresh flavor and had its own unique personality. And the queso? Don't even get me started! Creamy, cheesy perfection. My daughters couldn't stop raving about the rice (which is a rare occurrence!). I opted for a taco assortment, and every single one was a mini flavor bomb! Seriously, SO good. I also treated myself to a spicy margarita, and it was the perfect balance of spicy and tart. The bartender definitely didn't skimp on the tequila either! 😉 Service was a little slow initially, but it was a busy night, and our server was friendly and attentive once they got to us. Overall, Mancha Cocina delivered an incredible dining experience. Delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and a commitment to cleanliness make this a must-try! We can't...

We were delighted to see a new Mexican place. We try them all. The chips and salsa were very good - I believe the salsa was primarily tomatillo based. Not hot, but better tasting than most. I had the Carnitas and my wife had the Biria Quesadilla. The Carnitas were average. Nicely cooked, but plain. I liken it to pork pot roast. They offered a choice of corn or flour tortillas which I appreciate. Corn for me every time. But, they weren't ready when my meal was. Took a while to get them. But, they were freshly cooked, so there's that. My wife's Biria Quesadilla was very good. No complaints. The decor was modern, open and pleasant. The service was very slow. They've only been open a few weeks, so I have 1 star more than I would have had they been open longer. If they had been more established, I would've given 2 stars. Expect 1 1/2 to 2 hours. It is about a 30 minute drive for us, so we probably won't be back.
