Episode 1 | Locally owned restaurant, The Leesburg Public House in Leesburg, VA food review. I am a very upfront person so as an fyi this is my uncles restaurant but dosn’t mean I am bias with my review; just happen to like the food like everybody else but I also did get some of my top favorite foods there which explains the high ratings but their still honest ratings just check the google reviews/ratings urself.. 4.5 Stars out of 1.2k people.. Locals & people love this place !! #f#foodreviewf#foodcriticf#foodtokf#foodloverf#foodV#VAD#DMV

We’ve lived in the area for years but only recently decided to try this restaurant after our friends raved about it. It was just my husband and I on a rare Friday night date night. The outside of the restaurant is nothing spectacular. In fact, the curb appeal is definitely lacking. However, inside is a different story! The atmosphere was great with a bar area that has seating/tables around and then more booths and tables around the outside walls. One of the bartenders was our server (even though we were not seated AT the bar) and he was great, pleasant, personable, and attentive. We were only drinking water but he made sure to fill them regularly. We were impressed that he could be so attentive considering the bar also had all the seats full. We ordered the bacon popcorn to start and I also had the LPH salad (side salad) to start. The popcorn was hot and fresh and the bacon crumbles and bacon grease gave it a nice flavor. The serving could easily feed four or more people. It was good. But it’s still just popcorn. So not really a huge wow factor. The salad with the white balsamic vinaigrette that comes on it was really good. And a good size for a starter salad. For our meals my husband got the fish and chips and I had the Carpenti Chicken Alfredo. It was all fantastic! Homemade fettuccini noodles and the chicken on the pasta was sliced thinly so you could enjoy a perfect sized bite. The fish and chips were hot and flavorful and the fries were tasty. My husband turned down the malt vinegar but they would have been the bomb with some vinegar on them! What really stood out to us at this visit was the service. There was as an issue with my food and high I did not discover until after I’d eaten a bit. When we told the bartender, he was immediately apologetic and said he would take care of it right away. The manager then came over and he was so very apologetic. You could tell he was genuinely sorry it had happened. He asked if I would like something else or anything. I told him the pasta had tasted awesome so far, so I’d like just another one of those. He had it out to me in maybe five minutes. Hot and fresh. And again, so apologetic. I think it also helped that we weren’t jerks about it and understand that sometimes things happen. He then came back and told us that he had taken the pasta off our bill and offered us dessert. I had the pretzel chocolate chip bread pudding and my husband had blueberry cheesecake. Both were awesome. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. We love supporting local businesses and this is one where the customer service really stands out. Highly recommend!

The French Onion soup crock better than most that I have had in the area. The cheese was melted perfectly over the crouton. The "Ceasar Salad" left a lot to be desired. Instead of Romaine leaves, it was mixed greens, the shaved Parmesean was shaved too long (1"-2") and it was hard to get on a fork. The dressing, what little there was, left out half the ingredients of a Ceasar Dressing. It was bland, almost tasteless, the Croutons had more flavor. Side note: why would you serve a cold salad on the same plate as HOT food? The salad wilts with heat and its better if the courses were separated a bit, guving time for digestion. The Filet Medallions were cooked perfect (the second time - won't go into that). However, the Garlic Cream sauce was all cream with No taste of garlic. Will give them another try some other time, but will all the choices in the area, they need to hit "the mark" better. The staff were very friendly and the service was great! The kitchen needs some help with quality control. We eat out 4-5 nights a week. I am NOT a professional critic, but having worked in the industry for several years and being a frequent diner, you get to know what is good and what is mediocre. Til a other meal...

I always look forward to evenings at the Leesburg Public House. Great atmosphere, terrific patrons, superb hostesses, the best wait staff, amazing draft beer and close to home makes it perfect. All week I look forward to Friday nights there, knowing I can blow off steam accumulated during an extremely stressful work week and have 2 or 3 beers and a wonderful steak. What happened tonight? My Gosh, what a disappointment. The ribeye took 40 minutes to get to the table and when it arrived it was not even lukewarm. It was cold. The broccoli and potatoes even worse. Limp, and the temperature as if had just come out of the refrigerator. Sent it back, and when it returned, it was just as bad. It had maybe been microwaved for a couple of seconds. Dang, to serve that kind of dinner to a regular customer and above-average tipper just does not make sense. Really bad tonight. I have a great appetite, can eat anything, usually love the dinners at Leesburg Public House, but guys, what happened tonight??? Not good at all, and to think it is the most expensive item on the menu. I bring you all my birthday and anniversary business every year. Heart is broken. Had to get takeout from Burger King next door after dinner tonight since I could not take the bad quality of your steak. So sad. I always speak so highly of the great experience at the Leesburg Public House. I hope this is not a sign of things to...

Pre-covid, Leesburg public house was our go-to for a nice meal. This week-end, we decided to head there for the first time since the lockdown. We were greeted by a manager who was all smiles. She directed the host "little (insert name) " to take us to our table. I was offended for him. Our server was prompt and took our drink order. He gave us an appropriate amount of time and took our dinner order. I was disappointed at the reduction in the menu but I understand that many restaurants have reduced their menu. I ordered the steak medium rare. We were surprised at how fast our meal came. My husbands was perfect but my steak was somewhere between raw and rare and the potato's were ice cold. I waited over 10 minutes for the server to return and showed him the issued. He acknowledged that that was pretty bad looking. He said he would take care of it. 5 minutes later the same manager came over and apologized and said she had put in another order. At this point, my husband was almost done with his meal. I let them know that since he had almost finished, I would just take mine to go. That didn't bother them at all. The bill arrived and there was no adjustment for the kitchen mistake or the fact that I watched my husband eat his meal while I had nothing.

Unfortunately, their complete lack of customer service just lost them...
