DO NOT BE DECEIVED by these reviews like I was. This food was nasty. This is not Asian (Chinese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Cantonese) food. I’m not sure what this is..maybe it’s new management trying to fulfill the previous golden china name. I had never eaten here but the reviews do not match the quality. Fried rice had no veggies and seems to be soy sauce coated steamed rice literally NO LOVE in this fried rice. This is even less Chinese food than Panda Express. My orange chicken was breaded heavily but soggy. The cut of meat was fatty. Teriyaki chicken on the stick was sticky and tasted like it was too close to the broiler. The egg roll was a take on a wannabe veggie spring roll with ruggedly cut cabbage and old carrots with NO SEASONING. I’m literally appalled. Take this review how you must but I’m leaving this here so I’m never deceived again and mistakenly reorder. $60 WORTH OF FOOD purchased and after three people tasted this about $45 of it will go to the TRASH. Awful. I’m sure I’ll still be nauseous in the morning. Heavy and gross.
I walked in to place my order, walked out to wait because the server said it would take 15 minutes. When I was walking in that server was walking out. Another lady came and she made it seem like I was there to steal someone’s food. Her thoroughness came across as hostile....
Read moreMy husband and I have never tried Golden China before and decided to try it based on the reviews and, let's be honest, the pictures of the food. We ordered pick-up and it was ready in about 20 minutes. We received updates via text, which was great. When we picked up the food, it was hot and fresh, and the gentleman at the counter was very friendly. We had no issues with packaging and nothing leaked. Everything even stayed warm/hot during our 20-minute drive home. I ordered the chicken and broccoli for myself and it was pretty good. My husband ordered the General Tso's chicken. His response when I asked how it tasted was that it was okay. He wasn't a fan of the sauce because it tasted more like an orange chicken sauce and was sweet with no spice. I tried it and agreed, so it's not like other General Tso's we've had before, which is also the main reason for 4 stars. We also ordered crab rangoons and shrimp dumplings, both came with sauce and tasted pretty good. The crab rangoons came in a nice packaging that kept them very warm. Our rice was a little on the mushy side but I don't mind that at all. The portions are also a good size so I had some leftovers to enjoy the next day. I would like to try them out again and get some of the other dishes other reviewers have...
Read moreMy friends and I would always come to this Chinese restaurant, probably once a week or every other week. As college students, we try to tip as much as possible every time, however, last week, we left a $5 tip on a $15 check, which is not the worst, and we got screamed at by the manager for it. After we left the restaurant, the manager followed us out and was screaming at us, and I was explaining to him that we left money and if he wanted more, I would gladly give it to him, but he was swearing and still raising his voice. He then got closer and closer to us, and I politely asked him to not get any closer to us, otherwise the police will be called; we definitely felt threatened. The manager stated word from word “you guys are going to be nothing in life.” This was very disappointing, because we have never had a problem until now, but rest assure, we will never go back. Good customer service is important to us, and we unfortunately received customer service that resulted us in being scared and upset...
