Tap House Grill — Restaurant in Lemont Township

I would give this review zero stars if it were an option. My family of four went to the Olaf event this afternoon. What they did for the kids was great! The coloring sheets, DYI snowmen, hot chocolate, etc. My problem was the waitress/bartender and manager being unprofessional. In our section we saw 9 tables eat and leave, two tables were getting ready to leave, and one table just finished eating all the while WAITING for our food. When the blond women manger approached us she asked if everything was okay. I’m sure it’s because we obviously looked upset. We stated we haven’t received our food yet. She did not apologize and only said I’m sure it will be right out. Then we waited another ten min for our INCOMPLETE order. I’m absolutely sure they just put the order in when we complained. I had also ordered our food to be put into to go containers so we could just leave ASAP. Then after receiving our order we waited almost another 10 min for the check even though we stated we needed to leave ASAP and that’s why we needed our food to go. I had to find another waitress to help check us out. That’s when the green haired waitress/bartender came straight up to me to check us out. No apologies from anyone. Can’t blame it on the event since we were literally the only table without food....

Have No Internet unless you call one weak bar Internet, out of feature beer 30% of time, food inconsistent MR comes out Med to well done! Have gone for specials as then its worth the agravation but lately had final show down...Gave this place a 3rd try on their Monday decent Not scrawny wings, only because was promised by Eddie that if I wasnt satisfied he would get another order. So what comes out but small anorexic wings and I even gave the story ahead as Eddie was not in yet. So here I am getting flack for Not accepting the tiny wings... !!! Done with this place... Always inconsistent and now not even backing their word! Refused to pay! Didnt touch the food! Other Taps are not so bad, as over the years I have traveled to see how this one measured up. Not even close! Basalmic used to be healthy and good, last year so creamy and without flavor has to order separate oil and Basalmic which one 2 of the past 5 occasions they were out of!!! Sure missing much...

Over the past 4 years i have frequented both the (now closed) Westmont location as well as the Lemont location and there has been a noticable and steady decline in quality of food as well as pricing- the daily specials used to be the whole point behind coming to TapHouse, get a 10 dollar burger that they usually charge 14 dollars for for 5 dollars instead, same thing with the tacos, 14 dollars on the menu for a plate that isn't worth more than 9 or 10 for 5 dollars, now the food has decreased in quality while the price continues to jump up by a dollar or more for the specials what seems like every few months. There are better craft specialty bars that offer better brews, better food, and better deals without a cheap college sports bar atmosphere. TapHouse started as a wonderful experience concerning both beer and food while offering reasonable nightly specials and a relaxed atmosphere, now I'd say you're better off just going to a Friday's or...
