Happy Bites Burger & Wings - Lemont — Restaurant in Lemont Township

I was so excited to try this place after waiting for it to open for so long, but alas, was left super disappointed. We ordered the jalapeno burger with no bacon and the cajun and lemon pepper wings. Upon entering, the staff was welcoming and the space was super clean. The prices were pretty much the same as wingstop or any other burger/wing stop. The food took 10-15 minutes to come out and everything was made fresh to order. The burger was just okay, not enough aioli and the ratio was off: too much bread to patty. The wings tasted like plain chicken. There was not a hint of cajun or lemon pepper to be tasted. We did let the staff member know and he took the wings and sprinkled more seasoning on them to no avail. We asked for some honey bbq sauce which definitely helped and made me think that the saucy wings may potentially be much better than the dry rubbed. Our dining experience at this establishment for dinner tonight was, unfortunately, not up to our expectations. I ordered the smoky burger, which was overcooked, and the bacon advertised as apple smoked was simply regular thick-cut bacon. My wife's choice was the mac and cheese burger, which was visually unappetizing, consisting of a single piece of mac and cheese placed on a burger. Labeling it as a mac and cheese burger was quite disappointing. The side of cheese sticks and mac bites were satisfactory, but overall, the meal did not meet our expectations for a $40 expenditure for two people. We believe that Lemont deserves better...

I went there shortly after opening on a Saturday and was the only customer at the time. I ordered the Rockin Robin Burger meal. The burger was fresh, with a thicker patty than most, crispy fresh bacon and was quite tasty. The fries were good too with a hint of garlic and freshly made. I used to pass by their Tinley Park location a lot and regret not having tried them earlier. The staff was quite friendly and the waiting time for a freshly made burger was quicker than I've experienced at similar places. This is my new go to place for a good burger in the Lemont area. I'm looking forward to trying the rest...
