My family and I hadn't eatin here in over 5 years due to how the owner reacted to giving me the wrong change. She had accidentally given me a dollar more that I didnt notice. She proceeded to yell at me and chase me to the exit door saying " Sir! Come here let me see your change!" I pulled the few dollars she handed me out of my pocket along with a few coins. She grabbed it out of hand and said I gave you too much and took a dollar from the change I had gotten. Fast forward 5 yrs my wife and i thought to try eating there again and giving that restaurant another chance. Low and behold the same owner who works the register was there. My wife and I along with my 2 boys ordered our food and less than 5 mins our food came out. I ordered 3 breakfast tacos. I ate the first 2 which I noticed where not very warm. I opened up the 3rd which was cold and had told the waitress and she was nice about it and asked if she could get me another one. I told her no thank and asked not to be charged for it. She looked worried and said ok. As my family went to pay the ticket the waitress had the ticket at the register and kindly told the owner/cashier the situation. She nodded and said I'll take care of it. The owner/cashier still charged me for the sent back food and I mentioned again the situation she immediately started to blame me that I ordered too much food and just didnt want it. Also raising her voice and telling me that she doesnt serve cold food and insulting my wife saying "is that the way you talk to your mom". All of this over a cold taco. Read moreWow! So I decided to bring my family to try this place after church today and the service was horrible. We arrived and it was packed, which was fine. The hostess told us it would he a 20 minute wait and two families were in front of us. No biggie we were willing to wait. About 10 minutes in the hostess sat the two families in front of us and then we were up next. We are a family of 5. Then, a family of 6 walked in and started asking if tables could be pushed together. They spoke to the owner who apparently told them the two tables in one section could not be pushed together. We were waiting patiently. Then the waitress started clearing a table for six and allowed the family to go sit and go right ahead of us. Didn't even acknowledge the fact we were sitting right their watching the whole situation unravel right in front of us. I think it's awful how rude the entire staff was and treated us like we were not even their. We tried to talk to the owner, however she just brushed it off and told us we were next and another table was coming up. We decided to leave since the upfront service had already left us astonished. Read moreMy last experience with Rita's Mexican Cocina was really bad I got the huevos rancheros I complained to the manager Maria and she said it is something that you will not get sick of she didn't apologize she didn't take the plate off , paid for the food later that afternoon I threw up I called back complained again still the same answer almost like if she knew exactly what was wrong with the food the beans the eggs and the carne asada had a taste that I could not ping-point. I had my mom taste it she agreed with the same thing something was off something was not right but we couldn't put her finger on it! Threw up the rest of the afternoon and was sick for the next few days!
