Our recent visit to McDonald's at Merchant Lane turned into a nightmare as we encountered one of the most abysmal service experiences ever. Not only did the staff fail to meet even the most basic expectations, but they also wasted a significant amount of our time.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by an unenthusiastic employee who seemed disinterested in attending to customers. It took several minutes for someone to take our order, despite the fact that the restaurant was not crowded. The inefficiency and lack of urgency were evident right from the start.

To make matters worse, the wait for our food was excruciatingly long. Twenty minutes elapsed before our order was finally ready, and even then, it was incorrect. The staff showed no concern for their mistake, leaving us frustrated and disappointed.

When we approached the counter to address the issue, we were met with indifference and a complete lack of customer service skills. The employees seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than resolving our problem. It was a clear indication of their disregard for customer satisfaction.

The entire ordeal wasted precious time that could have been better spent elsewhere. The lack of organization and professionalism demonstrated by the staff at McDonald's in Merchant Lane was inexcusable and left us feeling incredibly let down.

In conclusion, our experience at McDonald's in Merchant Lane was an utter disaster. The combination of prolonged wait times, incorrect orders, and apathetic service left a sour taste in our mouths. It's been awhile since I've been in and had really good service so I just wanted to write in and say thank you and I'm glad to see your new faces and good job to your HR department you hired some nice ones this time keep up the good work Well since this review I've gone in a couple more times apparently the ones that they hired or not still there I walked in this morning so I Miss Barbara told her about how they messed my order up again over the phone and I was wanting to cash in on that today well not only did the white lady that waited on me this morning was very rude and kept asking Miss Barbara if I was telling the truth or not they both also messed up the order again I have tried to call several times to make it right they have either disconnected the phone or they're on a very long phone call I've tried to get ahold of the Mc. Fair Corporation was unsuccessful that way I don't know what's going on with customer service around St Mary's County but they really need to take a very big look at it it seems to me the only time they push it is if they don't like the employee they're pushing it on and as far as getting an order wrong she was Miss Barbara you are the one that knew the water was messed up in the first place then you served me two sausage biscuits and 2 hash browns when you knew it was supposed to be two sausage egg and cheese McMuffins and 2 hash browns I don't eat Charles biscuits they're nasty and dry have a good day hopefully y'all make your...

The play area (is only for children 3 & under) is pretty cute for this age group. However, it can use some serious vacuuming. There was what *seemed to be "age-old" pet hair (or some kind of furry looking hair), bundled up with the mix of loose rubber from the floor mat and other dusty debris all around and absolutely no sanitizer in this area. I noticed that McDonald's franchises have changed it's whole in door look and has eliminated their entire "self service area" but why am I having to ask for or be waiting in line for *napkins and straws? (Had to vent with that last one, folks). Oh also, this wasn't during "rushhour", as there were aprox. less than 15 total customers (all ages) in the building, and the restrooms hadn't been checked in who knows how long, so there was no TP in the only one with the changing table, of course. If I hadn't just changed a diaper and had wipes on had, this would have been a far more interesting review. So....
