Vennari's Pizza — Restaurant in Lewisburg

I order here often and their food is typically excellent... However tonight was horrendous!!! So my family and I call in and place a order for 1 large cheesesteak with fried onion and sweet pepper. And a large cheesesteak stromboli with fried onion, mushrooms and pepperoni. We drove from mifflinburg to pick up. When we get there he tells us he forgot to put in pepperoni tells us he can make another but we'd have to wait. We say no bcus we just wanna go. We get home I open my cheesesteak and there's mayo, tons of it, all over the thing, I hate mayo. So I call tell the guy not only did you forget the pepperoni on the stromboli but you put mayo on my cheese steak and I didn't even ask for mayo. He says he'll remake both. So we drive all the way back, wait for them to get done. Get back home and I open my cheesesteak. The pepper were placed on the bottom, my roll was completely wet and falling apart bcus he put wet peppers straight on the roll and they cold. So I take a bite bcus at this point I'm just going to eat it as is.. and there's hot peppers put on it not sweet peppers as I had asked for and of course I can't eat hot peppers. Then we open the stromboli, he didn't chop the steak, theres whole pieces of steak and pepperoni just laid on dough, didn't even mix it together. 🤦 Just Ridiculous really. Never will I eat here again unless it's the regular guy working, the regular guy can make a bomb cheesesteak!! this guy had no business making food if he didnt know what he was doing. I always say if you don't know what you're doing...

Awful! Just awful. Placed the order through DoorDash. One would think that the order that os printed would be easier than calling it in or ordering in person. The order was chicken Alfredo, chicken parm, meatball parm with fries and garlic knots with sauce. We received a meatball parm with fries, garlic bread and a chicken parm. The app allows to select an option if an item is not available of receiving a refund, receiving a call to replace, etc. The option of receiving a call was selected. A call was never received when the chicken alfredo and the garlic knots were not available. Someone was out of a meal. Unfortunately, I am disabled and cannot just go out and get food so easily. We called the restaurant after speaking to doordash and cooperation and understanding was the last thing we received on the phone from the young man that answered at the restaurant. The response of "I did what I'm supposed to. I couldn't refund the garlic knots, it didn't let me." Very dismissive and disrespectful man on the phone. We need to be kinder to one another and right a wrong. Not be okay to lose business and brush it off...

. Can’t tell you how the pizza is because we never ordered it. Kid answering the phone is an ungrateful little brat. If you don’t want business at your shop keep the boy that answers the phone running the front.

He should be able to tell someone about your pizzas (sizes, crust styles/ differences)without treating them like a complete idiot/burden…

Update: so we ordered from villa teresa ll and it’s honestly one of the best “mom and pop” pizza places I’ve been to the only one that even comes close I got in Brooklyn. They are big slices cooked well. The sauce was robust. And it did not fall apart, easy to fold. And wallet friendly that’s just a welcome bonus.
