Afrotaste Resto Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Lewiston

Well, maybe it was.on off day for kindness.... I figured i would give this place a try couple weeks ago I have never felt a negative vibe as i did at this place an trust me i have been in places i did not belong in days past . They have a door person that for some reason had studied my Identification longer then the police do then felt the need to keep watching me from the outside of the entrance to inside the establishment he enters inside to speak to a group of people that starts doing all eyes on me thing like he was doing for what ever the reason was to do so .. my friend figured he kinda was acting like he was crushing on me ... So i asked the bartender who he was i was told Jeremiah was his name ... so i paid my tab an made my way outside to find the door boy an few guest outside continue to watch me make a call then leave this place for good .... I will not return to have people try intimidating tactics or whatever the goal was by some of the staff and friends of his. So i can not recommend this place to anyone that doesn't want to be .made unwanted to spend money an have to deal with such negative people is a joke... They have lots of other places in the lew/Aub area that will be glad to have your business an do so without...

We spent almost $100 on dinner for 3 people and the portions were a joke! I got the Beef Stew and it literally was 6 small chunks of beef with rice. Not worth the 20-something bucks they charge for it. They also substituted something we ordered with something else because they were all out of what we ordered. I didn't want a substation and they should've asked instead of altering our order. I would've preferred to get my money back. The food quality is not worth the price. The portions are absolutely not worth the price!!! The food tasted OK, but you can't really get a taste for something when there's only 6 little pieces of what you ordered. If they improve the quality and the portions, we'd gladly give them our business. Very disappointed with what we got and will not...

Such a good time last night. Gorgeous decor and beautiful atmosphere, lounge type of setting, felt like we were in Portland or Mass even in terms of interior design. Clean bathrooms, music was PERFECT for those of us who like to dance. Relaxed and classy. Wonderful bartenders, Shelby and another awesome young lady whose name I didn’t get but they were ON IT. Security did wonderful on making things safe and comfortable, they were patient and polite. Will most definitely be back, maybe even book a section for my bday! I still need to try some food.
