Nick's Pizza & Pasta, Inc. — Restaurant in Lewisville

I've had good experience in the past at this place and saw the comments on the poor service which surprised me based on my visits there. However, I ordered pizza for delivery and 10 minutes later got a call that they couldn't deliver to my address tonight because it was too far. I just checked GPS and it is 7 minutes. The guy that called to tell me that they couldn't do it tonight was a bit rude. When I said that when I come there it's 10 minutes. He said not with the road construction. Again, not true. I drive past there all the time. When I mentioned this he got rude and said "we can't do it tonight unless you want to wait an hour, it's too far!" Wow, what happen to being kind to someone trying to do repeat business with you.... If you don't have a driver available then just say that... don't say it's too far. 7 minutes is not too far. Instead of just complaining, let me offer this advice... a better response would have been "sir, I'm sorry that we took your order and now have to cancel because we don't have drivers available for over an hour. We wanted to alert you to this as soon as we realized it. If you would like to pick it up we will throw in a either a gift certificate or some dessert. Please accept our apology". I recently had the pleasure of trying out Nick's Pizza and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The pizza was delicious and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The pizza had the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like it. The menu had a variety of options to choose from, which was great because I have a diverse group of friends with different preferences. Everyone found something they enjoyed. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which made it easy to just relax and enjoy my meal. I also appreciated the fact that they had ample seating outside, which made it possible to enjoy our meal while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Very bland, mostly undercooked food. Maybe we just got unlucky.

Tried a selection of items, the wings are walmart brand knock offs of Tyson pre breaded wings. They were trash, couldn't tell if they were baked or boiled, definitely not fried.

Fries were meh. As expected when a place tells you your food is ready and out for delivery and then arrives an hour after that - when you live 5 minutes away.

Fried cheese ravioli, they were flour, water, and ricotta.

Pizza #1 plain cheese, was actually ok. It's hard to tell why the crust was so dense and gummy. It's possible this restaurant is so busy and popular they just can't keep the oven hot enough and it didn't cook right, or if it suffered because of the hour long sit in the driver's car.

Pizza#2 - mushroom,onion,bell pepper, black olive, hamburger. Somehow had less flavor than plain cheese. Otherwise about the same as above.

I want to believe they are as good as their other ratings, but there are a lot of pizza places in this area, which have all been excellent... maybe this...
