I have never had a dispute with a worker anywhere ever until tonight.
I place my order, waited for pickup to be available, and arrived. I was not acknowledged, greeted or even looked at by either worker. Normally I don’t have an issue with that, it’s stressful work and sometimes you don’t know what mood a customer might be in. However, this one specific employee (elderly Hispanic employee, sorry) is always extremely disrespectful. Every time I’ve picked up from this location, if she’s there, she gives you this glare and doesn’t say anything. Doesn’t greet you, doesn’t ask what your here for, doesn’t let the customers know what the situation is. It’s especially problematic, as highlighted by the events of tonight, that the pickup shelf is NEVER used. For whatever reason, I’m assuming this one’s on management, they refuse to use the pickup shelf. Opting to leave it behind the counter while working on other slow, multiple sandwich orders. Usually there’s another employee to thankfully help.
Walking in waiting for her to finish couple’s order, took around 10 mins. I thought yay finally and walked to the elderly employee. I walked up, without being acknowledged, and told her TWICE that “I have a mobile/online pickup order” she just mumbled something, I think telling me to wait. She almost never speaks clearly, but I know that she has the ability to. I’ve heard her speak clearly before. She barely looked up at me annoyed like I had the audacity to speak to her.
So I was like guess I’ll wait some more, not a big deal. Even though I could see my order directly in front of me, behind the counter. I continued to stand there for another 10 minutes. Hopefully thinking she would do some work on the sandwiches and maybe finally say something to me after she pops them in the oven. Nope. Didn’t even look at me. So rude, I don’t think she has any social/people skills. The other employee, seemingly oblivious, continued to mop. Wasn’t necessarily an issue, with the way I was standing inside for 20 minutes, you would think he would’ve said something. I finally reached my boiling point with the elderly employee. Her age is not an excuse for her behavior. She has no respect for other working class people. We’re all struggling!
I spoke up and said “hey, can you hand me my order? It’s right there.” she once again mumbled and that was it for me. “Please hand me my order” I shouted “it’s right there, I’ve been here for 20 minutes, it’s been ready for longer. I can walk around and grab it myself, that would be faster” I should’ve and I was about to because she still wasn’t really acknowledging me! I got to the employee door and homeboy on the mop started freaking out. Instead of making the situation more confusing and chaotic, he could’ve walked around and handed me my order! I tried to communicate that. Finally the elderly lady asked my name. Which wasn’t necessary, there was only one pickup order ready. Which was mine. The one I had been staring at for 20+ minutes. She actually THREW the order on the counter, which in hindsight was pretty funny. I could barely turn around before both employees started shouting incomprehensibly. I grabbed the wrong drink, well I wasn’t handed one! Nor is there a drink size option on the mobile app. They just continued to escalate and confuse. I was so confused that I forgot to even fill the cup. Need that refunded + the forgotten cookies, she didn’t even bother baking them I noticed, actually I’m gonna need a whole refund or I’ll just contact my bank. The male employee also kept coming up behind me like he was going to do something. I was just leaving, as I did. He followed me out. Taunted me from the doorway with words and this weird smile. Just unnecessarily continuing to escalate. I should NOT have to start yelling to get my order after not being acknowledged or spoken to for over 20 minutes while my food gets soggy. Ridiculous. Won’t be returning to this location until the elderly employee is let go. Not saying she can’t work service/food, but subway ain’t the...
Read moreI should have known better than to try again with Subway because of the problems I had at the one inside Walmart on Main Street but unfortunately I gave this location a try and was disappointed once again. So I place an online order for 3 sandwiches. I get there about a half hour before they close and as soon as I walk in the clerks are looking at me and laughing. Then they ask if I’m picking up an online order I say yes and they say we’re out of everything to make your sandwiches. So I then request a refund and they state that they can’t do it and I’ll have to request one online. Needless to say that I was HIGHLY UPSET. Not only did they LAUGH IN MY FACE for not being able to make my food, they didn’t even apologize or offer to make me anything else. So I left hungry and out of money for food I never received! I requested a refund online, and still haven’t heard a thing about my dispute. I made another review about my issues with the subway at the Walmart location as well. I will be filing complaints with the BBB as this has been a nightmare to deal with. This is the WORST chain restaurant I’ve ever dealt with and they will never get my...
Read moreWorst Subway experience I've ever had. Employee began making my sandwich while he was wearing only one glove. He had never heard of the Chicken Teriyaki sandwich. He did not microwave the chicken but instead served it to me cold. He didn't know the sweet onion sauce was supposed to go on it at all. He didn't ask me if I'd be eating there and gave me the sandwich to-go instead, with no napkins. When I sat down at a table and opened the sandwich, the vegetables were all over and the sandwich had fallen apart immediately. He saw this happen and said "I'm so sorry" from the employee area but did not offer to fix it or make me a new sandwich. The female employee working with him did not assist when he told her he hadn't heard of the teriyaki sandwich or say anything when she saw that my sandwich had fallen apart.
In addition to that awful experience, the tables were dirty, the chip rack is in the way of the drink machine, and there is old metal restaurant equipment in the dining area. I will never, ever return to...
