Captain D's — Restaurant in Lexington

This restaurant is very unprofessional. You have to ask for napkins, plastic ware. I called them and was told I had to go back to drive thru if I wanted them. Which was left out of my bag. So to get them I had to go back through the drive thru and wait in line once again and still no plastic ware. They need to take pride in the job. Common Sense would tell you if somebody's ordering a family meal that you're going to need some napkins and plastic wear. Lobby was closed the door said open with the time on it. So I put my wheelchair back in the car and go through the drive thru and then they bring out signs saying drive thru only. They did not have the common courtesy to come to the door to tell us anything. I will never come to that Captain D's again and I will not recommend it to my family I will drive across town before I go up there to that restaurant very...

Original Zomato Review 10/26/15 - I've eaten at Captain D's since a teenager and seen it go down hill for the last 10 or so years. One of the attributes I always liked about D's was they steered away from the "triangle" fish of Long John's - the D's fish seemed to be a real filet and was sloppily battered where several of the batter chips fell off in the box. I loved the old fish...now D's has fell in line with LJS and created a what I call a "big fish stick." It's just not the same. I like the Deluxe Seafood Platter...the crab cakes are good.

Eating there today, I think I gulped the sweetest iced tea I've ever drank...even cutting it by half with unsweetened didn't phase it. Talking with the counter staff, she said the restaurant required 6 cups of sugar to be added to the batch...I'd back off the amount by a cup. It would be...

Well for starters. Im a big fan of Captain Ds. But we got a to go order this evening. The young lady working the counter was a sweet heart. We had to wait 30 minutes and everything we got was over cooked . My boyfriend got a supreme platter his was so over cooked that his shrimp was like taking a bit of rocks they were so hard my stuffed crab was same excpt the out side was like it had been over cooked and reheated over and over my fish. My fish that i usually love at captain Ds were well well done 2 long skinny scrawny pieces of fish so over cooked that i couldnt chew it.. i dont know what happened to my favorite place to eat but i hope they get it fixed.
