GameStop — Local services in Lexington

Went to grab a few new games with my oldest son for his birthday this evening. Typically when we visit this store, which is quite often - Considering I have 8 and 5 year old boys who are absolutely crazy about any and all of the 'Lego' games for PS4 - the employees have, in the past, made me feel as if we were a bit of a bother or an annoyance, maybe. I have well behaved children who know better than not to mind their manners (especially in public!!) So, I've just chalked the annoyed feeling up to being from my boys being of a slightly younger age group than what is most ideal, or perhaps, maybe their 'E' rated games aren't very exciting to spark up a convo about... Who knows? Tonight there was a gentleman working who made our trip to the game store a lot more welcoming than usual. It was refreshing, to say the least. Instead of the usual glares and foot tapping, or eyeballing the clock, we had actual conversation with the person working their tonight. He even made me feel at ease about my kiddos taking a bit long, being indecisive, by sharing about his two little ones at home. I'm truly sorry that I didn't think to catch his name... Had I known Google would be asking me for a review, I certainly would have, haha. Anyways, you get the point. Not gonna give them 1 star because of one employee. But I am a pro member. And I frequent this location often. But today I went in to get rid of my V Apple Watch. I had already looked on the website prior going up there just to make sure they accepted them and what i was looking to gain by taking it there. My watch like new condition. I’m just simply tired of it. It does do anything special and it’s current. A series 5. I lay n m y watch down along with my license. And first thing the guy does is grab the phone looking at me stating “hold on a sec. while I make this call to see if we take them “ I proceed to ask why does he need to do that. It clearly says on the site they accept them. Not to mention the whole wall on the right when you walk in. Is full of apple products. iPads,watch’s, phones you name it. So what made my watch different. Idk and this could be reaching a bit far. But could it be the clerk profiled me and assumed the watch was stolen. I’ll never know. But I left. Told him don’t even worry about it I’ll just go to a different l location or listed it on the market. Idk the guys name but he was there on this date June 27,2021 at the new circle rd location. And was the only one there so they know who I’m talking about. But yeah. Ima change...

The employees here are always helpful and willing to take their time explaining things. There's always a wide variety of games to choose from and their clearance rack stays full for the budget gamer that likes franchise items. This place can get super busy though so don't be surprised if you walk in and it's full of customers, but they usually have gaming kiosks set up and the patrons are more than happy to engage in some friendly...
