Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Lexington

Was super excited for this location so close to home! First, I know it’s a new location, I didn’t go until second week it was open. I know they will still have kinks to work out and slower and new staff- I have a lot of patience - and respect. There were two cashiers, one was very new- she said it was her first time on the register. No problem, I kept telling her take her time and I understood. She asked the cashier next to her for help multiple times, and she didn’t respond. I finally said - she needs help please. It was very early - right at at 11am. Not busy. The other cashier tells her what to do but didn’t show her. She then did have a customer so my cashier asked two ladies that were coming to the kitchen- I assume they were owners- for help and yet they were on FaceTime with someone and ignored her. We had to stand and wait for one of them to finally step in and help. The poor cashier was shaking and mortified. I only had two very simple orders. I told her it would get better and always ask for help. They have to do better with training and taking pressure off of the new workers and customer service- even of those “higher up”. I stopped in on opening day Hamburg around 12:30 to pick up an order through the app. As expected the place was packed. Lexington loves a new restaurant location and Lexingtonians didn't disappoint in showing support.

I had Fancy Nancy chicken salad and a bowl of Chicken Tortilla Soup both were delicious. I also ordered some Jalapeno chicken salad to go and that was delicious as well. As a side note the only thing I noticed that I thought was odd was that there were a lot of people running around wearing shirts with small logo saying Chicken Salad Chick some were walking back an forth behind the counter not regular staff who were all hustling but maybe upper management or something anyways I count 5 or 6 of them and even though I made direct eye contact with and stood besides them none of them greeted me or offered a smile no acknowledgement at all which I thought like I said was odd for a new location on opening day with all the fan fare and welcoming of guest. I was so excited for this location to open right down the street from my house, but it’s going to be a longggg time before I return. I visit the Brannon location all the time and it’s always amazing. They should not have opened without adequately trained employees and enough of them. It literally took 15 mins for them to ring my order in. They could not figure out how to ring in the kids meals. After they finally figured out how to ring it in after, we went to sit down and the only open tables were not cleared off from the last people so I had to clear it myself. When our food came out, my meal was missing and my kids cookies were missing off their kids meals. After they brought my meal out they brought no silverware and no brown sugar on my grape salad.
