Sad to say I will never return to this, or any other Chicken Salad Chick restaurant.

I have been visiting this restaurant for years. Honestly I’ve probably been here at least 100 times. I’ve taken many guest here. And introduced many to this restaurant. As I really love the food when it’s fresh.

Yesterday, Saturday August 22. I visited this location with my wife and her grandmother. I walked in without a mask on. My wife and her grandmother had mask. We got to the counter and we’re waiting in line. Grandmother ordered. And another rather large woman asked if we were separate. We said yes and she asked what we’d like to have. It had been a while since I had been there so I was trying to figure out what I wanted.

And an employee hands the large woman a box of mask. She fumbles around trying to open it. And finally gets a mask out. And just hands it out to me. Without saying a word. Which I found odd. As we had entered, walked up to the counter, and started ordering without anyone saying anything.

So I politely declined. Saying no thanks I don’t need one. And the large woman, with and aggressive tone says rather loudly. It’s the Law you have to wear one! The rough tone irritated me. And I replied, it’s not the law. And I do not have to wear one. And she continues to tell me how dhec requires all this and that. And to them dech is law. I told her I understood that but it’s not a law. And I’m declining the mask.

My wife jumps in and says “he has asthma” which is true. And wearing a mask to effect it. But that’s not the main reason I refuse to wear one anyway. And the large woman claps her hands. And loudly says “that’s all you had to say. And there wouldn’t have been any of this” basically blaming me for this argument. But when I first politely declined she jumped on me and didn’t give me an opportunity to say anything else.

I continued to tell her that there wouldn’t have been any of this (repeating what she said) if she wouldn’t have had an attitude. At that time my wife asked if we even wanted to eat here anymore. And I said let’s go as I wasn’t very hungry before the encounter. And certainly not after.

I have the right to not wear a mask. And if a restaurant doesn’t want me to enter or serve me. That’s their right too. I have no issue leaving. That’s fine with me. I understand that completely. But you can handle it the right way. From her just putting a mask in my face without even saying anything. To Her jumping onto me when I declined her mask. That was just the wrong way to handle the situation.

I never have any issues with customer service. I don’t make scenes. I rarely ever complain about service. But this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. This lady is completely unfit to be in...

Before today, I would have rated this establishment 5 stars all the way as I have utilized their services many times.

However, today will be the very last time I will purchase food here. There was a young lady in a teal shirt with red dyed hair that kept scratching her head and playing on her cell phone then proceeded to touch items in the prep area. When I said something she started to get really mouthy. I sat and waiting on my order and there she was again NO GLOVES DID NOT WASH HER HANDS PUTTING UP THE VERY TRAYS WITH PAPERS ON THEM that were being used to serve customers.

I don’t know about others. You may or may not care about this but stuff like this I do. Having an autoimmune disease I am already very limited on where and what I can go outside of my home to eat and sadly, this is another establishment that now will be taken off the list.

Please, do better. Be better. Think about others. It makes a difference in the lives of others. For the record, I’m not asking on my behalf. I’m pleading for the others who have it way worse than I do. They would appreciate...

I really like the food here, it’s normally very quick, I worked in food for quite a while and when there’s nothing to cook in the order and there’s 3 people in the kitchen, 2 cleaning the lobby , 5 customers in the dinning area, why does it take 20 mins to get my food? You toast bread and scoop the rest like it’s pretty easy.. I watched people walk In and under 5 minutes be eating while I’m just sitting waiting. Someone came out finally and asked what I was waiting on… my food. Nothing done to make up for that 20 minute wait just here’s that food for you. This many people in the kitchen talking it up so loud I feel like im a part of the conversation bc there’s no one else in here. I really like csc but this one let me down. Last time I’ll be here for a while.

Update: the food I was brought was wrong and burnt. It has 1 thing you could burn and you did. It’s toast a 5 year old...

I have eaten here a few times. The chicken salad is great! The croissant each time is a bit dry. I switched to their wheat bread, which was better. The quality of their chicken salad is amazing. So flavorful! The lettuce and tomato are fresh. The cute little cookie you get just ordering a sandwich was a nice treat! I’ve tried the broccoli cheddar soup, that is very cheesy and tasty. The pasta salad was kind of bland and a super small portion but that’s ok. They have lots of options to figure out what you like. The price is not bad if you just do the sandwich, less than $10. My favorite is the Kickin’ Kay Lynne. The sriracha is a nice touch! The cranberry Kelly is good too! That one reminds me of cape cod chicken salad like back home. This place is always packed but the staff is always nice and get you in and out pretty quickly. My new favorite lunch spot!

Went to have a late lunch at the Sunset BLVD location. I didn’t have my card on me at the time and only had $100 bill / cash to pay for our food. The cashier indicated they didn’t accept bills larger than $20. Last I checked, a $100 bill was still a form of legal tender in the United States. And at 4pm in the afternoon, I’m sure there was plenty of change in the drawer after nearly a full day of sales. Shocking that a company/business owner would turn people away from buying their product because their payment method is a $100 bill. Because I couldn’t pay, I left and walked next door to Five Guys who happily accepted my $100 bill.

I ordered the egg salad on a croissant with fresh fruit. The egg salad has pickles in it and I asked if I could have it without but that was not an option. That being said, I ate the sandwich but didn't love it because of the pickles. I wish they had an option to have the egg salad without pickles. The restaurant was nice and the employees were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like chicken salad or pimento cheese.
