Cosmic Fry — Restaurant in Lexington

I was really looking forward to eating here because I had heard so many good things. Unfortunately when we came in they were terribly understaffed which is no fault to the owner. She was doing the best she could do. However we were really looking forward to the mocktails but didn’t get the opportunity to try them because she didn’t have enough staff. The service was okay. The server seemed new and was definitely doing his best. He was attentive and quick to serve but didn’t really have all the answers. The food came out pretty quickly and was actually the star of the show. We were served in styrofoam to go containers with plastic silverware but it was no bother. The atmosphere could have been better there were no tvs on and it was really hot in there. However at the end of the day this place has a lot of potential. The food is really really good and this place can take off. Really looking forward to trying this place again and giving it a second chance. You can tell the owner has a lot of heart for this place....

Went in all was well. We ordered and there was some confusion on the trio deal they had, thinking we had fries that came with it and mentioned it to the lady. She explained the actual trio deal we were like ok. Left it alone. Then lady brings out an order of fries and says I went ahead and brought them out cus I know there was some confusion. In the beginning a girl brought me a drink and said I wasn’t sure if this was the one you wanted but it’s on me . Check out time charged us for the fries and the drink. Not about the charge or any of that it’s about the lies and telling us something different. Food was very greasy especially the egg rolls . It was like they took it straight from fryer and put in the paper tray. There was literally a puddle in the bottom of the paper tray, went straight on...

Before going there I wondered if the owner had ever operated a restaurant before. Now I wonder if she’s ever BEEN to a restaurant before. The cook/server clearly had zero experience or training in serving. We were greeted at the table with, “Do you know what you want?” When I asked if they had any soft drinks or iced tea he had no idea and had to check with his mom, the owner, glaring at us from a few tables away. After ordering, the food arrived quickly (in styrofoam to-go containers with plastic silverware) as we were the only ones there. When we were done eating I tried to pay for the $30 bill with two 20s, but the owner had to run next door to get the $10 in change. Really? You don’t have $10 in change? They won’t be in business...
