favor — Restaurant in Lexington

Come for the burger + fries, but stay for….literally everything else. Favor is SPECIAL. Coming in and sitting at the counter truly feels as if you’re stepping into his home kitchen and grabbing a seat at the kitchen island.

There’s something uniquely comforting about this place that my wife and I haven’t found in Lexington. Honestly, I’m not sure we’ve found it anywhere.

The menu is ever changing, full of options across different styles of food. The burger and fries might be the best we’ve ever had. Seriously. (Make the burger a double)

But where this place really wins is the creativity and charm. Wyatt does what he wants with what’s available to him, and trust me when I say he takes care of you.

When we asked him about the menu changing with the arrival of summer vegetables, he laughed a little and said, “oh yeah, it just gets silly.” And I’m not sure he could’ve said anything to get us more excited than that.

This is a restaurant we’ll be coming to as long as he chooses to keep cooking, and I think it should be for you, too.

You’d be doing yourself and your friends/family a disservice by not coming here and enjoying such a special experience.

My wife and I had dinner at Favor last night and both of us said afterwards that it was the best meal we've had in Lexington in a LONG time. Every single dish was amazing and prepared absolutely perfect. We started off with the mushroom rangoon dish which exploded with the most spectacular tastes in our mouths. We were sure that couldn't be topped, but when we got the Pork Chop and Snapper dishes we were wrong. Watching Wyatt prepare the dishes in front of us also added to the experience, seeing all the love and prep that went into them. He truly is a food genius. We ended it with the cookie dessert which was the perfect ending for a meal that we are still talking about today. Kudos to Wyatt for such an amazing experience and culinary delight. This place is amazing! Such a homey feel on the inside and friendly staff. They have possibly the best French fries in Lexington. Perfectly seasoned, great texture and definitely ordering them again. Especially with their curry ketchup. The empanadas were so good. They are a bit small but there are three and if you pair it with a side it should be plenty. The lions mane crab cake was so very good and worth getting and trying. The sauce it comes with was incredibly delectable.

Overall: amazing place that is perfect for someone who’s looking for healthy alternatives but don’t want to sacrifice taste.
