It was a warm spring day in downtown Lexington, and I found myself in a state of debilitating hunger. As I frantically looked around for an establishment that could supply me with much needed nourishment, my gaze met the glorious black awning that donned the words “Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger joint.” I knew then I would be saved.
As I hobbled through the door in my feeble, undernourished state, I was quickly greeted by my knight in shining armor - the Legendary Nicole. She swiftly guided me to a seat that can only be described as a throne upon which I could enjoy the bountiful meal that was yet to come. With great intelligence and grace, she guided me through the extensive selection of burgers, helping me to find the one that would return me to my former well-fed glory.
In what seemed like the blink of an eye, Nicole had returned with my feast in tow. She gently laid it down in front of me, and before she could even turn back around I began attacking the plate like a rabid beast. My hunger had warped me into something almost not human anymore.
In my feeding frenzy, I quite literally bit off more than I could chew and began to suffocate. I thought to myself, “This is it. My final moments. At least I’m going to die eating the most delectable burger in all the realms.” However, as my skin turned blue and my vision faded to black, I was pulled back from the grasp of Death himself by none other than Nicole. With decisive action, she sprung forth to save me from my choking spell.
The Legendary Nicole had now saved my life not once, but twice - first when she provided me with nourishment and again when she resuscitated me. The people will sing songs of her heroism, and people will eat at Jack Brown’s just for the hope of catching a glimpse of this...
Read morePopular chain restaurant on Limestone in Lexington by a lot of other joints. You will find burgers (duh), fries, a good grilled cheese, domestic and craft beer. They have a fun down to earth party bar atmosphere.
The burgers at Jack Brown's are made fresh and they taste it. They really do a great burger. They have some really unique burger options one topped with Mac and cheese, another with peanut butter. The patties are juicy and flavorful, and the toppings are generous. The fries are also delicious and crispy. The beer selection is pretty solid especially liked being able to grab an Einstock
Service was friendly and efficient we joked and had a good time with our bartender. The prices are ok for the area, and the portions are large. It was very crowded but we did not feel ignored or that anything took too long. No good parking in this area it's an entertainment district so probably a parking garage or a Lyft is...
Read moreThe food was great. It's definitely worth trying. Staff friendliness was moderate and needs work. Other things Jack Browns needs to work on: 1.) Although the staff was helpful, with multiple people coming to our table, it caused confusion. We received the wrong burger, and then they didn't make it right the second time they brought the new burger. This was mainly communication and listening issues. Also, the food should have been checked before being brought to the table. They didn't charge us for that meal, but having the mistake twice resulted in a less than satisfying first visit. 2.) It was 50 degrees out, and the door was left open. Was cold the entire time. 3.) There should be a changing station in the bathroom for babies.
I hope this review is read and shared with the staff. This place has a lot of potential, but additional training is needed in customer service and active...
