When it comes to finding the best burgers and atmosphere, it can be tough to choose just one spot. There are so many great burger joints out there, each with their own unique atmosphere and style. But in the end, there’s one place that stands out above the rest: Sidebar.

Located in the heart of downtown Lexington, Sidebar has been serving up some of the tastiest burgers in town since 2009. But it’s not just the burgers that keep people coming back again and again. It’s the atmosphere too.

From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with the sounds of sizzling meat, the smell of fresh-baked buns, and the sight of a bustling kitchen. But despite the chaos, there’s a sense of calm that permeates the air. The dim lighting and cozy seating make it feel like you’re in your own little world, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

And then there are the burgers themselves. Side Bar uses only the freshest, high-quality ingredients, from the grass-fed beef to the buns. And the toppings are just as impressive. From the classic combo of lettuce, tomato, and cheese to the more adventurous toppings like blue cheese & fried egg, there’s something for everyone.

But what really sets Sidebar apart is the attention to detail. Every burger is cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of char on the outside and juicy tenderness on the inside. And the staff are always happy to help you customize your order to your exact specifications, whether it’s extra pickles or a side of fries.

So if you’re looking for the best burgers and atmosphere in town, look no further than Sidebar. With its unbeatable combination of delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and top-notch service, it’s sure to become your new favorite...

Ok. Holy crap. Got there just as the grill was bein fired up. Greeted at the door kindly and warmly. I felt like I was being invited into a friends house for a gathering, good food and good talks. Sure enough, I made friends had GREAT food and great talks.

I got the Brie burger. Listen, the menu made it sound good… But after the first bite, I almost jumped in my truck, drove to my parents house and slapped my Mom. Not because Deborah and I argue sometimes… But because it was ā€œSLAP YO MAMA GOOD!ā€ Which no one should ever do. I don’t even know why that’s a phrase? Anyway … The flavorful fries have this crunch, then suddenly melt away. They’re impactful. Sidebar fries, IYKYK. šŸ”„.

Genuinely, thanks for a great experience. Food at a Downtown bar and grill like this helps remind you of the heart of a city. The tradition that people sometimes forget. The welcoming culture and nature your town was built on. The ā€˜Mom/Pop’ spots where everything they do says ā€œWe’re happy to have you. We care about you as a human. We’ll see you when you come back.ā€ Damn good experience. I’m not some corporate hater, but I travel and am cultured enough to know, you only get an experience like this from owners that care and operate every move. ...

We tried to visit Side Bar on 4/22. 3 of us. There were two stools open at the bar. A high top with 2 stools and a low table with room for 4 but 2 seats. We walked in intending to sit at the bar and wait for aN extra spot to open. We were intercepted by a server that told us there was no standing at the bar as it would block the walkway. Ok odd, but it is a small place so I ask if we can sit at the high top. She says no there are three of you that will block the aisle. So my partner says we can fit at the table easily and it's off to the side. She starts to sit and again Server comes forward and says she's sorry but we'll have to wait outside as there is no moving chairs and no standing. So I guess parties larger than 2 is a no go there didn't seem to be many larger tables for anyone to sit at? Just very odd and weird to be brushed off when the bar was not even crowded. I asked again that we couldn't sit or stand and she started telling us to please wait outside. In any case we walked next door to Jack browns which was pretty busy but friendly and welcoming. When we came back to go into Crossings the same server was telling another larger group they'd need to wait to so at least...

After a long ordeal to get some food after going to Lexington, we found this place. The Sidebar is very good food. Service was excellent. The girlfriend had sweet potato wedges with honey butter and a grilled buffalo chicken wrap. I had a 1/2 lb hamburger with bacon and cheddar. Also ordered a fry appetizer which was plenty for two people. Bill was 27.00. Left waitress a 7.50 tip because she was excellent and was very knowledgeable about what her restaurant served. Welcome oasis in the middle of some of the swankier (expensive) places. The music playing in the background inside and on the speakers outside was very relaxing. Good place to go in Lexington. Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had.9

Great, down to earth hole in the wall burger restaurant. It's not too big, not too small.. people coming in and out of the place, the atmosphere was very much alive. The food was superb for the price 25 total with tip for me. I had a Coke, Burger w/Bacon and fries, also had Fried Pickles as an app. Everything was delicious. Great service and staff were very collaborative with their environment. The only thing I would change was making the patty itself a bit wider. I noticed the bun to patty on my burger was smaller, so it felt like I was eating around the burger. Fries were seasoned well, and the ranch was finger licking good!

For a place that consistently gets ranked best burgers in Lexington, my experience has been disappointing. Just won’t go back. they cook it wrong every time. I ordered a medium rare because they have good sirloin, even mentioned it twice in conversation while placing the order, medium rare. it was overcooked and dry. and the fries, how is it possible to overcook the fries yet have them be soggy. Nope.
