Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Lexington

My girlfriend and I have frequented this location for YEARS because we honestly love Jason’s deli. She is a life long vegetarian and I am on my way to becoming that and the salad bar here is a great option for those like us trying to eat healthier. That said, tonight was a very opinion altering night at the restaurant. We came in around 8:15-8:20 and purchased two never ending salad bars. After one trip to the salad bar, around 8:30, 30 mins before close, they began pulling the tongs from the salad. Other customers who had come in after us, for the salad bar simply got up and walked out. We could only get one plate and had to ask for it at the counter as the employee working that station did not even pay attention to the fact we had ordered it and spent upwards of 10 minutes pretending to not notice us standing there. After we got our salads, there came the time to go up for more and/or different offerings and the whole bar was closed down, ok no problem we get it, you want us out, I’ll just grab some tea before I head out I thought. As I turned to get more tea behind me the employee who had pretended I didn’t exist earlier went directly in front of me and grabbed the tea pitchers to dump for the night without even meeting my eyes. The lady who works the register with the dark black hair and eyeliner, who has been there forever, is and was and always has been wonderfully nice and courteous, however everyone else in that restaurant tonight blatantly ignored or didn’t care about us or seemingly anyone eating in that establishment tonight. If you’re going to close the salad bar 30 mins before the restaurant closes, there should either be a last call or a warning at purchase that you will very likely not get to utilize your full purchase. Same goes for the teas, if you’re going to dump it for the night as customers are sitting down, please at least warn us. Jason’s used to be amazing and the food still is, if you get to it in time. They used to come to the table and check on you, have chocolate ice cream and chocolate syrup and have been known as a place who built their legacy on having something for everyone. Very different feel tonight being rushed out in an inhospitable frenzy from a place we love and have frequented for years. I hope they get this straightened out with their staff, I have worked in restaurants the majority of my life and have never been allowed to break down anything before the last customer left and the doors closed for the evening, I’m sorry to have to leave this here, as the restaurant is in fact amazing, just make sure you get there before 7pm if you want to eat...

Placed an online order through the Jason’s deli app at 12:45pm on 12/24. App said it would be delivered between 2:00-2:30pm. Finally called at 2:55pm and they said that the delivery driver picked up my order. I told them that I never received it, they blamed it on the driver and I asked to talk to a manager. She said she tried to call her but of course she didn’t answer then 2 minutes later the girl I spoke to said that they would remake my order since I told her that I still wanted my food. She said that they wouldn’t charge me. I checked my bank account and sure enough they lied and posted to my account. I was so intrigued to try a new restaurant that I had never been to but unfortunately it was my first and last time ever going to this place. I work for Jason's Deli, but I'm not saying this because of that. Actually, i became familiar with Jason's Deli as a patron.. The food is amazing. It's all high quality, organic where possible, no artificial colors or trans fats... I'm not trying to be an advertisement or anything, but i highly recommend this place to anyone that is conscious of things like that. If you care about what's in your food, how good it is for you and where it comes from then Jason's is a gem! Don't get me wrong, there are a slew of more indulgent options.. baked potatoes the size of your head, po boys, all your favorite deli meats sliced daily, pastas & FREE ICE CREAM for dine-in customers.
