McDonald's — Restaurant in Lexington

My parents often went here with my dad going in to buy food and coffee for take-out when I used to live here in Lexington, NC. We never really ate inside, we preferred take out and to eat in our car.

I never had any problems with my order here and my usual orders of McFish fish fillet and coffee were always ok... merely average. No real problems with my food and drinks that I can ever remember.

This McDonald, the few times I have ordered inside myself without my parents, and when I went inside to help my dad carry the food and drinks does looks nice and new inside, and ordering seemed like an ordinary newer McDonald's. Overall, it just feels like the average run-of-the mill newer or renovated McDonald's restaurants you see nearly everywhere, and their food is ok.

In regards to the restaurant itself, I don't know what else to say. Just a fine McDonald's restaurant is all in a regular shopping center or strip mall.

But where I have had some negative experiences here is with regards to some ugly acting patrons or visitors here, not the restaurant itself or the employees who seem to be and act alright. I have gone in here to use the public restrooms and walked by ghetto looking patrons and visitors who actually saw me, would look away and not make eye contact at me, and decided to follow me, an adult man, into the restroom to harass me basically for no good reason at all that I can think of. Well, actually there is never any good reason to harass anyone anywhere but that is besides the point.

I remember the last time I went in here to use the restroom there was a man in thug, ghetto all black clothes who I first saw hanging outside and then a short while later he was in the restaurant when I came in. He then proceeded to follow me into the restroom and bang on the stall door over and over again, putting his hands over the stall itself, and harass me and say I made a mess inside the bathroom even when I clearly did not like he was the gatekeeper and overseer of the toilet which is stupid and ludicrous.

So I have run into potentially unsafe situations from ghetto, drug addicted looking patrons, possibly homeless, who hang around this restaurant and harass you if you go into the restroom as they mingle around the bathrooms and restaurant...

Visit this location anywhere from four to five times a week either breakfast lunch or supper I stopped in there the other day and got a double cheeseburger order of fries and a dollar drink on my way to work the fries were totally cold the cheeseburgers was cold it was just like somebody took too cold patties two pieces of cheese and second piece of bread it was absolutely horrible I called back and spoke with a manager the man was very rude and did not act like he believed anything I said there's several employees there that know me and my car when I come through first one is in the Spanish lady that works the drive-thru window handing out food he speaks to me every time I come through during her shift and always ask about my friend the other one is the red headed lady it works mostly in the evenings I told this gentleman I have no reason to lie finally after a 15-minute conversation with the man he would agree to replace my food I'm very upset with how this restaurant has handled its situation with this Spanish speaking manager male and only two I said I was going to call the franchise owner and discuss the situation with him he finally agreed to replace my meal when I return Yes I have my receipt yes I have the food that is now like 5 days old I understand that maybe their policy to bring the food back that you're complaining about I've been in and out of the restaurant business and management for over 30 years so I understand what they're doing and their guidelines but this here was totally ridiculous with less than 10 minutes after I had left I had no time to turn around and go back and get my order complete since how I waited in the Drive-Thru for over 12 minutes to place order and receive order which is ridiculous think McDonald's needs to take some lessons from Chick-fil-A on how they run their drive-thru and get people through very quickly I'm very unhappy with McDonald's at this point I'm sure they could care less thank before you go to McDonald's on Highway 52 Winston Road in Lexington North Carolina that's why I'm giving this such a bad review I have yet to have a manager reach out to me in any way shape or form I left my name and phone...

If there was a half star, i would give this McDonald's a half star. My husband and I stopped by this McDonalds last night Winston Rd in Lexington, NC. I hadn't been to a McDonald's in I don't know when. When we first walked in we stood there waiting on someone to come and take our order. When this young lady finally came up to the register, she gave us a look like I don't care your here. She leaned over to wall saying what can I get you. Her reaction was like I don't need you interrupting me or I'm whatever. She DIDN'T stand up straight or even have a fake smile when she was talking to us. What is wrong with people today. My husband and I have had two bad experiences at two different restaurants in the last week. If you don't want to be working then go home or wherever. Let someone else have that job, that needs it and will put a 100% into it. Also this restaurant had dirty tables and floors. There was a table that had a half of a burger sitting on it. The floor had food on it. The table we sat had crumbs on it. I had to take wet napkin and wipe it off. The area where you get your drinks was not looking to good either. Believe me I would have loved to had a conversation with the manager or supervisor. If I had I would have said it in a not so nice way. If you are a manger or supervisor and you see one of your employees not doing what is required of them or have an attitude like this girl did, then send them home and call in someone else.
