The Ginger Chicken with broccoli entree is worth considering if you don’t want breaded/battered meat.
From my experience, it’s an annoyance when it seems like there is more bread than meat. And that goes for any Asian style restaurant, not just P.F. Chang’s.
You won’t have that problem with this dish.
The ginger sauce is not sweet like an orange, teriyaki, or honey sauce, but you have the option to substitute.
Food was clean, fresh, and mildly seasoned. There was more broccoli than chicken. Not a complaint, just an observation, so cheers to health.
Portions were plenty. In fact, had enough leftover to take for a second meal.
Smaller and cheaper lunch size bowls are available for the entrees Mon-Fri 11AM-4PM and Weekends 11AM-3PM.
I mention this because I had to pay for the larger plate because it was dinner time.
Would love a reasonable explanation to why all portion sizes aren’t available during all operating hours. It’s lame you have to pay for large portions you don’t have an appetite for, nor may necessarily want as leftovers either, but I digress.
For the drink, tried the peach boba breeze refresher. IMO, it would have been better without the boba. The boba they use doesn’t have the chewy texture like those found at a tea house that I’m familiar with.
Instead, this boba was like a gusher candy. When I bit into it, a super sweet syrup oozed out. It’s just way too much sugar. The drink looks good with the boba on top, but I wouldn’t recommend it, unless you opt out of the boba. By itself the drink was refreshing but still bordering almost too sweet.
All in all, a good but average dining experience. Food was good. Portions were generous and prices were standard.
Hope this review was helpful. Until the next meal,...
Read moreWould leave 0 stars if I could. From the time we walked in until the time we left, it was the worst experience. We visited on 4/21/22. The hostess was cold and unwelcoming, barely smiled the whole time we were talking to her. We explained that we made a reservation online. We were seated quickly and placed drink orders, which took about 20 minutes to arrive: three waters and two mixed drinks… our appetizer order came out quickly but was lukewarm. Our food also came out quickly but was horrible. We’d been driving 8 hours prior to dining, so we ate it because we were hungry, but all 3 of us remarked that we will not be back to a P.F. Chang’s, likely ever. Everything was cold and lacking flavor. I doused my fried rice in soy sauce, which made it slightly salvageable. The orange chicken had a weird texture and the chicken in the lo mein was extremely dry. The onions in the sesame chicken were essentially raw.
Our waitress, Makenzie, was clearly having a bad day. Aside from slow service from her, drinks weren’t checked on, she reached across the table and our plates quite a bit, and she had the worst attitude all night. When asked if we wanted boxes, we said no. That answer was met with an eye roll. The debit card was quite literally snatched out of our hands when it was time to pay. If we had been a difficult table, that would have been one thing. But our orders were simple and we didn’t ask for any substitutions or anything that would have complicated the order. As we were looking around, none of the other guests appeared particularly happy, nor did any of the other staff.
I’m not sure what happened, because P.F. Chang’s has always been a family favorite, but the Lexington location changed...
Read moreMy family had one of the most traumatic experiences of our lives at this PF Changs on Saturday.
I have a 7 month old son. My husband and I, along with our infant son, went to PF Changs to have a nice family dinner. While I was holding my baby, the server stood right next to me with VERY hot soup. She was literally right at my side. My son, being a baby and doing what all babies do, reached for the soup in the servers hand. He burned his fingers, and in the process of ripping his hand away, the soup spilt all over me and the ground. He instantly started screaming. I have never heard him cry this hard. The server did NOTHING. I ran to the bathroom with my baby to get him out of the soup covered clothes (all while he’s screaming). We were in the bathroom for a few minutes. My husband and I decided it was best to go to the ER. So I left the bathroom and walked back to my table. The server was just standing there, not cleaning up the soup on the floor, not doing anything. I SLIPPED in the soup while holding my son! He hit his head on the table. I bruised both my arms and my knee. STILL the server did nothing. No managers or other employees came. Nothing. Another guest came, a pediatrician thankfully, to help us! And finally we left the restaurant and rushed to the ER. My son sustained a bruise on the back of his head and burns on 4 of his tiny fingers. Not to mention the emotional trauma that all of us are now dealing with. And PF Changs did nothing. Said nothing. Didn’t help at all!
PF Changs: train your staff not to bring hot soup next to a baby!!! AND when stuff spills, train your staff to clean it up right away!!
We will not be returning to...
