The door man who sat us was very nice. He was about to sit us down and I noticed the glass on the table was dirty and requested another seat. He apologized and sat us. Again at a dirty table, however, instead of complaining I cleaned it with my napkin. After awhile (5 minutes) a young lady asked if we would like a drink. We placed a drink order of water, sweet tea, and a sprite. After another 10 minutes we got our drinks. A sweet tea and 2 waters...no sprite. We then requested our sprite. After 5 minutes we got our sprite. We then placed our order. Another gentleman brought our order in after a long period of time. After a little bit past amy hour of eating, not having a napkin (husband ripped his in half for me) and sitting there waiting, no one checked on us, not even a refill of drinks that were long past gone. I finally saw the guy who sat us and requested our check. At this time I was annoyed. When we received our bill I noticed we were charged for 2 sprites. Instead of complaining, bc I was seriously upset about the service, we paid the bill and left. Sadly, I always leave a big tip, this time I left none. I would understand if they were packed...but in the large area only 2 other tables were occupied. There was no reason why a table sat long after us with a party of 7 was served and cared to before us...a party of 3. I don't know why the service was horrible. I was a waitress for many years so I know how hard it could be when its busy (that's why I tip well)...there was no reason why we were ignored. I will not be returning. Shame, the food is delicious. Just not...
Read moreThis place has its ups and downs but unfortunately I had a bad experience yesterday that led me to lean towards only 3 stars. I order a lunch meal with a couple modifications and it's always a struggle to get it communicated which is understandable. But this time it was completely wrong and came with less food. When I asked why I didn't get the other side I was told I got salad (I had asked for fajita vegetables instead of refried beans and would understand an upcharge). The "salad" was the bit of lettuce and Pico that comes with most meals. I pointed that out and she said she'd ask, I was then told I had received double rice. I didn't. My companions meals had just as much rice as my dish but with their other side as well (see pics). Something the servers didn't realize was that my companions speak Spanish and overheard them discussing my complaining and rolling their eyes at me. So as much as I love Pinata Blanca when they can get it right... There are too many other Mexican restaurants in town for me to choose to sit around waiting for more chips and salsa too long and deal with attitude on top of it. Still, the taste of food and service I've had at other times gets them...
