Update: Since the location is not the most convenient to us we don't get to go often. I recently heard that they were going down hill a bit...and I can now confirm. The service this past weekend was some of the worst I have ever received. The waitress wasn't familiar with the menu at all. When she brought the appetizer she didn't give appetizer plates. The drinks ran empty multiple times and it was slow to receive our food. There were four people in our party and she forgot to enter in the food of one person so their food was received 15 minutes after ours. There was just a mumble of an apology and that was it. I can understand if they were super busy but she had three maybe four tables tops. We overheard the table next to us and she had messed up something on their service as well. We were 2 parties of 2 and she confirmed how the checks would be divided....and we still received the wrong items on the checks. At that point, we just wanted to leave so we didn't have her correct anything. It is a shame because the food is still really good.
Previous: We love Puccini’s. They have unique pizza and great pasta. I have never had anything there that was not delicious. Their salads are always fresh...like super fresh. Sometimes the food does come out a bit slow but very much worth the wait. We were sad when the Hamburg location closed but we do travel across town for this...
Read moreThe food was great but the service not so much. We ordered the chicken tostino and spinach artichoke dip to go because we were eating at some nearby tables. The girl who took our order was really polite and accommodating, however the guy that bagged our food didn't put any plastic ware or napkins in the bag. When we sat down to eat I realized we didn't have any utensils and went back in to get them. I asked the girl and she gave them to me and I thought to ask for bread sticks as well because I realized that those were also not in the bag. When I did a guy, obviously the manager, chimed in that I had ordered of the 'hold the carbs' menu and that it didn't come with. Bread sticks and just kinda gave me some attitude about it. Bear in mind that I also ordered the dip which includes plenty of bread so I'm not following his logic. Was ordering the tostino because it sounded good not because it didn't have any carbs, regardless it should not be an issue for any restaurant to give bread to a paying customer when it's the lowest overhead item in the establishment. Orders normally come with bread sticks here and to make matters worse I had already tipped when I paid, $5 on a $22 order, and don't feel like I got the service...
Read moreComing in, we were immediately met with a foul odor of old cigarette smoke. I wasn't the only one in our party that noticed it. Not sure if it's just an old building but it wasn't a pleasant smell to be hit with when first arriving.
We were seated quickly but the server seemed unfamiliar with the selection of drinks available and just gave a written down list. The drink items on the menu were no longer available. When I asked about certain beers, the server had to go and ask.
The place was not busy for a Sunday night which was fine but even with how slow it was, we could barely hear our server as she didn't seem to have very much inflection. I guess it's not necessarily her fault.
The food took quite a bit of time to get to the table. Fortunately, we had a lot to talk about in our group but there were situations where the drinks were empty and we were waiting for more. The food turned out good and our group seemed to be happy with it. I felt like the portions were kind of small considering a kids pizza was the exact same size as small pizza and I feel like there should be a disparity especially since they are...
