I prepaid which I thought would be a smooth process. My QR code was scanned. My order was displayed. 2 associates were assigned to help me. One associate at the register and one associate selecting the food from my list. The incompetence began when I asked for mac and cheese because it was not available online. The associate at the register did not know how to ring it up. The other associate grabbing the food told me I'd have to void my entire prepaid order. I simply said I wanted it in addition to my previous prepaid order. I had no intention to modify the order. Once the confusion was clear. I was able to purchase the mac and cheese. The associate at the register said I was good to go my order had been fulfilled. I was not confident she was sure as she mentioned to the other associate selecting my items that she did not get to see my order / list.( Note: I could have offered to show my QR code again had I known she seriously had no idea what I ordered.) I did not feel confident that my $160 purchase plus the $16 Mac and cheese order was accurate. However,I exit the store and sit in my car to check my items in the car to avoid showing my dissatisfaction given the staff was extremely nice. I unbagged the items in my car and noticed I am missing the mashed potatoes and gravy from the prepaid order, AND THE MAC AND CHEESE I JUST PURCHASED. I was extremely upset. It baffles me that the mac and cheese did not get bagged I seen the associate grab it out the fridge. ( this associate needs to slow down and pay attention). Given I did not leave the parking lot I was able to walk back in and show my recipient and explain I did not recieve the Mac and cheese i just purchased or potatoes and gravy from my prepaid order. I was going to purchase some rolls once I entered the store again but I changed my mind given the incompetence thus far. The associates happily gave me the missing items. The new associate at the register apologized and said she did not get to read my entire order because the other associate exited the screen. At this point I was confident I would not purchase anything else. Both associates could have done a better job to ensure they fulfilled my order or even made an effort to read my prepaid order items. I would have given the QR again if it would have helped.
I exit the store and get back in the car to home. I unbag my items to place in my fridge. This is where i noticed i was given the wrong pie. I had pecan instead of pumpkin in which was also on my prepaid receipt. At this point I have had it. I did not call or complain I had waited 2.5 hours for you all to open after 3rd shift. I am extremely dissatisfied I do not plan to exchange my pie for the pumpkin. It also is not feasible given my schedule. I hope given this experience the food will at least taste good as this is my first and probably last encounter with...
Read moreProbably my most enjoyable Christmas experience. Friday, Dec. 22. Arrive to pick up pre-ordered ham. Didn't pay online because had gift card, and web site wouldn't accept prepaid (or we couldn't figure out how most likely). Get to Lexington store, there are orange cones everywhere. Park and proceed to doo, where there is an ARMED GUARD at the door, next to a 5 foot sign displaying who would be worthy of entering-you had to show your QR code from the online order. No problem, I didn't have it, but the wife did, so I call her and wait for the forwarded email with "The Precious" QR code. This is where it starts to get fun: Numerous others arrive none have pre-ordered or paid, the armed guard keeps pointing at the big sign which designates who is "Ham Worthy". This is met by various reactions, from utter defeat to outright hostility. This is where I lose it- a lady comes back to the door, starts to plead her case about how her poor Mom is in the car, after I'm sure great effort, and the lady says how her poor handicapped Mother really deserves special consideration due to the handicap. The ARMED GUARD looks straight at her her and states "Ma'am, we don't have any handicapped hams". This is where I laugh out loud, proceed to show the guard my QR code and am allowed entrance. The lady is in the process of glaring and stomping off. I enter, see that there are a total of 2 other patrons, go through the maze like security at the airport, and approach the counter where I'm greeted with a lady who has obviously had enough of all the Christmas cheer she can handle (even has a Christmas light necklace), whose greeting is Show your QR code. I do, she looks at my phone and says "we are only filling prepaid orders". I say , I have a prepaid gift card" she replies "We are only filling prepaid orders". I reply "this gift card is pre paid" She just stares. I say "Do you know where you can stick you ham, or do I need a QR code for that?" I'm having visions of Seinfeld by now, "No ham for you" . Laughing out loud, I start to depart. The manager happened to be walking by and observing, and tells the saleslady "Sell him a ham, it's pre-ordered and paid". I turn, accept the grudgingly produced ham, try to exit the way I came in, after renegotiating the maze (and I'm the only customer left in the store), and am turned away by the ARMED GUARD at the entrance, and pointed at a side door. Probably a good thing, because the crowd of folks without "A Precious" QR code has grown. Next year, I think I'll order more, I could have easily had a ham auction in the parking lot. It really did make...
Read morePicked up a ham for a work social. Ham was good. Not necessarily $89 good. But good. Edible. Everyone ate their share and were happy. However, aside from a few employees the cashier and other customer assistance person were not up to par in my opinion. I base a lot on customer relations. I understand bad days etc. I get people are not happy with their jobs. This does not give them the right to be rude or the like to customers. I am a please and thank you person all day long. I give respect and I can only hope it will be returned. If I have a bad experience based on customer relations persons I never go back. I only went here as their are only two local precooked ham places. If ever asked to pick up another ham for any reason I will look elsewhere. Now, I do not want to scare anyone off. The ham was solid. No one got sick. We were happy and fed. The overall facility was clean and as expected a food place to be. Still I did not have a good experience based on how I was spoken to and dealt with. Go forth, see for...
