Waffle House — Restaurant in Lexington

I'd like to preface this by saying that I'm generally a big fan of waffle house and maintain the have them best omelets. However, I had my worst waffle house experience when I came in Saturday morning at this location.

Perhaps it was due to new staff, but that isn't much of an excuse when there were more seasoned folks around. When we came in, there were more employees than customers, and they were largely not busy. Put in an easy order (all star and an omelet), and watched as other tables came in, ordered, and received food before we got anything.

About 30 minutes after we ordered, our omelet came out. Easily the greasiest omelet I've had, waffle house or otherwise. And there was no sign or mention of our other meal, until we had almost finished the omelet plate and our waitress finally came up and said that they were about to start cooking the all star (someone else had grabbed it earlier?). Our daughter was antsy at that point, so we told them not to worry about it, paid, and left.

There are several other waffle houses in the vicinity, so I'd recommend going to the other ones until they can get...

I took my son there today and we ordered. I explained we wanted waffles light/not well done. This is my usual order and hands always been great. Today they handed us 2 dark brown waffles. I told the waitress that they are extremely over coked and we wanted them light She talked the over cooked waffles and places them by the waffle makers. She then brings us two more waffles and says if you want them light this is how you get them. I have included a photo of what she thinks is acceptable to serve customers. Then an employee takes one of the over cooked waffles and eats it. A few minutes later another customer ordered a waffle and the waitress went and got the other over cooked waffle she had previously given us and gave it to the other customer. This entire experience is completely unacceptable and needs to be addressed. I have been a fairly regular Waffle House customer but I will never go back to this...

Foods delicious as always but the staff was pretty rude. Definitely needed an attitude check. As soon as I pulled up to park one of the workers was staring me down, and once I sat at the bar she continued to stare at me. Maybe she knew me? Who knows. But she didn’t stop staring at me pretty much the whole time I was in the store. That same employee started throwing dishes around loudly and slinging soap everywhere. One of the other employees told her to “just leave because she was being too violent with the dishes”, which the employee with the staring problem shouted “no no I’m just trying to do these damn dishes” and kept slinging dishes. As you can imagine at this point she stares me down up until I leave with my order, and I can feel the animosity and disorder amongst that crew in particular.
