I normally don't review establishments because my time is very valuable and normally taken up. But I had to mention a recent experience at this place. I liked the atmosphere, and the service I received from my waitress (Daniell, or Daniella) , she made my Christmas morning. The problem was actually with a manager?? After my breakfast , I also ordered two salads to go. I paid for my order and ask one of the young lady's to watch my two salads which I left at the front so that I could take my grandson to the restroom. I came back , retrieved the two salads and was asked by the manager ; are those yours? I replied by saying yes, I left them here until I came back from the restroom. I thought that would've been enough! As I was putting my grandson in my vehicle outside , the manager approached me again and asked what did I order, so told him... and asked him if he needed to see the receipt? I also mentioned to him to look at the set up(me). I showed him a $3thousand ring on my left hand , my two 1 carrot stones in my ears and my wedding ring which was also expensive, then I pointed to my BMW 328i. I wanted him to know that two salads, or any theft of any kind I don't need to do. His reply to me was , well people in rolls royces have came in here and did it(stole) , I told him I don't know those people or associate with those types, at this point he turned and walked away, taking his implicit bias with him. I only went to Denny's because everything else was closed on Christmas morning, I prefer other high end establishments personally. All he had to do in the beginning was ask if he could see my receipt, I would've gave it to him with no problem. Denny's , get your managers some people skills and step out the dark ages please, get these people some professional training and work on their soft skills! If you need help and support...
Read moreI did an online order around 11:40 am and stopped to pick up around 12pm being that the email confirmation I received stated my order would be ready at approximately 12:08. None the less, I waited a hour and 30 minutes for an online order. I walked in and who I assume was the manager asked to help and I told him I had an order and was told to wait. Well, I waited, and waited, and waited. Orders were processed but never called out. There were other customers with online orders but the orders were never called out. Y ou had to bother an already busy employee to ask if your order was ready. A customer asked "how would we know if our order is ready" the manager stated "They'll be called out" as he purposely put the orders on the back counter and NEVER called them out. I understand the restaurant was busy but still you have orders pilled up behind you instead of calling them out. Around 12:50 pm I walked up front again and asked if my order was ready. The manager asked me "what was my order" I gave him my name and order details. He was very rude and then took my bag back and did not give it to me because according to him I "look like I do not know what I am doing/what I ordered". Ridiculous! I waited for more than a hour how would I not be aware of my order. Plus I saw my name and number on the bag and I know that was me. He questioned me and made me show him proof of my order. I understand however, the disrespect of him assuming I would just take an order. Why would I take someone else's order if I have been WAITING FOR MORE THAN A HOUR. He took my phone and zoomed into my email questioning me when this was clearly my order. I would not go in to steal from anyone. My order had my name and was paid for by me. No need to question after a customer waited over a hour for an order. Super...
Read more10 minutes to be seated, good. Looked at menu while waiting to be seated. While waiting I observed one of the bus boys putting silver ware into packages bare handed. Then he walked away touched the point of sale screen, came back checked his phone and went right back into putting the silverware into packages. As jermofobic that every one is now he should have been waring gloves. We were then seated, knew what we wanted. Upon being seated ordered 2 coffees with cream and sugar waited 10 minutes for the coffees, no sugar or creams were brought to table, bad. Asked for cream and sugar coffees got cold. Waited a bit longer then my spouse said, why are they taking so long? Waited 5 minutes got up asked Mgr where our food was as we had been waiting for about 40 minutes since we had sat down. Server then came a few moments later with the food. Son asked for some hot sauce and ketchup nothing on the table (might be new normal due to pandemic) bad. Asked for a second cup of coffee was brought right out. While eating noticed there was significant amount of dust on the picture frames.
Food was nothing to be bragged about but had decent taste. Ordered biscuits and gravy and the gravy had half inch pieces of sausage links in there that were added after the gravy was made. Pictures attached of the dusty picture frames.
Sorry being critical but the location has been closed for a while during the quarantine and the management team should have been able to spare some time to have the frames at least wiped down. Noticed green holiday decorations taped to the very top of the light fixtures. It is April...
