Neaves Steakbar — Restaurant in Liberal

Very limited menu. Only 3 steak options : Ribeye, Sirloin and Strip steak. Sirloin was very thick! But was a deep red in the middle when desired doneness was stated as both Medium and Medium well on 2 seperate steaks. The asparagus was hard almost all the way throughout. Having tried my friends food, the M.I. Burger was just, ok. The meat itself smelled nice but tasted like a typical burger, you'll get a better burger at Applebee's. The fries were typical steak fries with no seasoning other than a sprinklng of salt. The mac and cheese was solid, but nothing mindblowing. Cheese cake was solid enough, not too expensive and had a nice lemon flavor (which was not specified on the menu). The bread was just like a cheap baguette you would get from walmart, except worse because it was hard and below room temperature. They were out of the homemade pasta, huge dissapointment. Also out of baked potatoes, and we were even told that we were the last table to recieve bread, as they had just run out. Overall, the steak was very good, but not cooked to specifications, half of the things we ordered were not available, and the service was not great, despite us being one of only 3 tables with 3 waitresses working. My recommendation is go to Applebee's you will get the same thing except 20% cheaper and it will be slightly more rowdy. I was sitting at 3 stars but the lack of options and high prices for this experience just made 3 feel...

The place wasn't very busy but extremely loud even though we sat away from everyone else in corner at the end of the bar. We ordered loaded fries which didn't look very loaded with all the cheese in the bottom of the basket. Next the waitress informed us that they only had one baked potato left and I choose the asparagus (asparagus was delicious all 6 pieces) and pasta (Again sauce in bottom of the bowl), on to my boyfriends food...loaded baked potato was very skimpy on toppings not to mention it was very hard like it was under cooked, green beans we were unremarkable and both of the medium rare stakes were medium well....my tequila breeze was lacking in tequila and the Long Island tea was unremarkable our waitress was very attentive until some guys came in and needless to say we didn't...

My cocktail was great. Only a few tables filled on a Saturday night. Was surprised a “steak bar” only had 3 steak options. Had the 16 oz ribeye. Cooked well and seasoned, however, meat quality was so-so. Very, very fatty (and I love a fatty ribeye, don’t get me wrong but this was A LOT). Loaded potato had bacon on it…. No sour cream. No cheese. No green onions. Asked for butter and it tasted off, like it was whipped margarine almost. Husband had nachos. They were fine but nothing exciting. There was a funky smell about the place…. Kind of off-putting. Waitress was very sweet...
