The waitress was amazing! Very helpful, polite, courteous, friendly, attentive,...all the good qualities you'd expect in a great waitress/customer service.

If it wasn't for the burger I would have given 2 stars. My guest and I ordered the Lobster Mac n cheese, a burger with baby portobellos and such on it, and the elephant ear for dessert. The burger came with fries that were really good. The burger was also very good! The burger was cooked perfectly the ingredients were fresh and very tasty! The Lobster Mac n cheese was beyond bland and extremely disappointing. I have had better lobster Mac n cheese dishes at guest's houses for dinner parties they cooked themselves. There was also some type of seasoning or spice (something) that was all we could taste while eating the Mac n cheese dish. It gave us both heartburn and we NEVER get heartburn. The elephant ear was not very warm when it was served and was very flat, it wasn't very doughy so-to-speak like you'd expect a 'dessert' style elephant ear to be.

The ingredients seemed to be very fresh and of good quality! Besides the elephant ear, the portions are extremely small for what you pay. We weren't expecting a buffet portion size not are our stomachs bottomless pits, lol..but for what you pay you should definitely get a LITTLE BIT MORE FOOD. For the two of us our bill was $40 plus tip. My guest and I left there hungry.

I don’t do reviews often but this service was just the worst that I have ever seen so I am figuring out how to write one for our evening. Food was good but we had to go get our own drinks, the one time we saw our waiter drinks we’re asked for but they never came. We never saw him again and we were there for almost 2 hours. We actually thought he quite. Our food was brought out by other random people who ran away as fast as they could,as we were all trying to ask for more drinks. One person never got their meal and had to ask for it 2 times and it came after everyone was done and she was expected to pay full amount. No offer to do anything for her having to go find someone 2 times to ask where is her meal. Yes we had a larger party but it was not that busy but we could have been asked how are things and at least given us drinks. Even if food was late, could have at least keep us drinking and everything would have been fine. We would have gotten so much more if we just had any kind of service so they lost lots of money for never coming back to ask if we need anything. Even our kids had a bad experience, Our kids got sprite and it was bad, it had to have no syrup but was told they have zero sugar sprite. If really true tell the kids this is zero sugar so it’s nasty and they can pick something else because as kids out for dinner this is the only time they get soda so who...

Me and my boyfriend were passing through Youngstown and stumbled upon Bull & Bear. It looked like our kind of spot and caught our attention so we stopped for a snack. I've been a long term employee in the hospitality industry so we love to try new local spots when we end up in a new town. The establishment was way larger than anticipated, and it was set up so well, at first we couldn't tell if it was a chain or private owned (which speaks volumes on the private owners. It's a well put together environment) They had a killer happy hour menu, me and my boyfriend had 3 apps and 2 rounds of drinks each and our total was close to $28. Only reason it was even that much was because I ordered an actual drink. And the bartenders Laura (and I don't remember the other one's name that was working, I feel terrible because she also was great) were patient, attentive, polite and knowledgeable. There was a root beer schnapps on the self, and me being a craft cocktail bartender it caught my attention. The girls were awesome with experimenting to come up with a drink for me that ended up being great. We don't know if we'll ever end up in Youngstown again, but my boyfriend and I both agreed we would definitely stop here again if the opportunity ever arrises.
