Handel's Homemade Ice Cream Powell — Restaurant in Liberty Township

This place used to be a go-to for us even though it was a bit of a drive. Today my boyfriend Got a milkshake. The consistency was so runny it was no different than just milk in a cup...very unappealing. He didn’t drink it and didn’t want to go back and go through the line again to get it fixed. This is not the first time their milkshake has been poor consistency. If you don’t have a good feel for how much milk to put in a shake then go back to measuring. Simple. Also I asked if I could sample an ice cream because I really wanted to try one of their seasonal flavors. They said the don’t do samples right now which is understandable. I asked her that if I got a single scoop of a new flavor I wanted to try that if I really didn’t like it if I could swap it for something else. She said no... I don’t know it just would be nice to not be completely discouraged from trying different flavors but whatever. The quality of the milkshake was the main issue and it’s way too expensive to not be drinkable. Probably won’t...

This place is a gem. Im so happy to have fantastic high quality ice cream joint nearby. We came on a saturday and there was a pretty decent line, but that is a good thing. They kept the flow going pretty well so you weren't standing in one spot forever. The flavors they had all sounded so good it was hard to choose. I settled on black raspberry chunk and my wife had "oh dough" or whatever it was called. You could tell how high quality this was because of how rich and smooth it was. I managed to eat my entire bowl without a puddle of melted ice cream at the bottom. My only complaint is there isn't enough seating for the amount of foot traffic they get. Well that and not having enough ice cream.. going for a large next time, the medium was a mistake and left me with a tear in my eye. Lol. Thanks everyone, looking forward to...

This is some of the best ice cream in Columbus! In my opinion, it’s even better than Jeni’s or Graeter’s. The flavors are crazy and exciting and delicious. I love the chocoholic chunk and blueberry cheesecake. My husband loves the blue moon and the oree - dough. My husband and I love to split the four scoop sampler for $5. The ice cream is so rich that it’s the perfect amount for both of us. I’m excited that it’s open year round so we can have it whenever. Although I wish they had a small indoor area to sit. Even during the summer, the few benches they have fill up quickly and are also in direct sunlight some of the time. They also need to hire more people or something because the line gets so long and takes way longer...
